Halo 3 energy sword in halo infinite would be awesome. It’s the best energy sword in the series along with halo 2.
I love sword battling in halo 3. It’s fun to destroy people with them. The energy swords went down hill from reach to now.
I also think they should go back to the old BR, I don’t like this new one they have
Agreed let’s get classic halo weapons back and 343i can use they’re era weapons to put their own stamp on things while maintaining some series identity
Honestly having classic weapons return would be awesome but people will complain about the sandbox becoming overfilled but I feel like I have some kind of solution. Make some skins and make some actual weapons.
For example the Assault rifle.
You’ll have the halo infinite design what ever that may be but you could have the reach AR as an unlock able skin that you can apply. So whenever you spawn with an AR it’ll look like the reach one. But the Halo CE assault rifle functions very differently to how the AR does now so that could added as a whole new weapon.
Or the other option is make them all skins and have it in forge that you can change how a weapon functions like it’s fire rate, damage on health and shields and even projectile speed. So you could recreate older variations and be able to apply a skin to make them look like the old design. 343 could even make some for us and have them in a prefab group that you can save. So say the plasma rifle returns. You can give it a red skin and modify it to function like a brute variant and then save it so you can find it again rather than making it again
Is the only difference between the H3 sword and H5 sword the zoom or is there something else?
You do realize the Halo 2 sword was added in as a variant right? It pulls and swings just as fast as the H2 settings allowed it.
Honestly though, I don’t want to see minor variations of the same weapons. The only thing I’d rather see is burst and semi modes for precision weapons where the obvious fact would be that burst allows a faster firing rate but at the expense of recoil. Single shots would behave the same way but with no spread to worry about you can be more tuned and not have to reload as fast, since you aren’t expending rounds at a faster rate.
Tbh though, we honestly wouldn’t need this if the options exist in Forge to craft weapons. Allow crafts in sections: pick a weapon “shell” or what it looks like, the bullet projectile from a weapon (physical round), and then the weapon mechanic it acts like. Actually I’ll make a post on this, as it’s something I haven’t seen suggested yet.
All that matters is the Rocket Launcher better be the SPNKR model, non of this single tube nonsense, my Halo rocket launcher has to have twin tubes or there will be hell to pay.
The only classic we need is the M6D pistol, If you have the magnum from H2/H3 make that one dual wield and keep the pistol two handed.
You could argue that the Halo 2, and Halo 3, Energy Sword are different. The Halo 2 Sword never runs out of energy, in a way you could say that makes it better I suppose.
