Classic Weapon Pack?

I know this is a dumb idea, and we already have some classic weapons… but these would mostly be loadout only.

Assault Rifle CE
SMG ODST
Magnum H2
DMR Reach
BR H4
Mauler H3
Plasma Launcher Reach
Flamethrower H3
Sticky Detonator H4

I think this is a great idea! I’ve made a thread similar to this, but instead promoted the idea of having skins change the appearance of weapons we have. Maybe introduce the Plasma Repeater from Reach as a Mythic weapon skin for the storm rifle and so on. But this seems more tangible. I’m all for this.

I cant say it would make it into halo 5 though, but halo 6 would be the the best hope (since its development has probably started)

Would there be anything different between these and the newer versions of them, or would they be entirely aesthetic?

Same here I would also like to see the needler rifle return as well.

Some of these already have perfectly good alternatives (halo 4 and 5 BR are the same. Use Gunfighter Magnum in place of H2. DMR has hardly changed at all.) However, adding Brute weapons would make perfect sense with the banished coming into the picture.

Assault Rifle CE - Give it 1.5x more damage to Ai, vehicles and players than a regular AR but reduce effective range and have it unlocked at req level 3 as a loadout weapon.
SMG ODST - Req level 6 - boosted range and accuracy and is a loadout weapon.
Magnum H2 = Gunfighter magnum
DMR Reach - Dont need it, it would be less effective than the ones we have now.
BR H4 - no reason to have.
Mauler H3 - good idea
Plasma Launcher Reach - already in the game, just needs to be touched up and finished
Flamethrower H3 - I dont see the use for this in the current sand box
Sticky Detonator H4 - we have the reach grenade launcher, sticky det is just an easier to use version of this weapon

It’s a good idea, but the Halo CE AR is already in the game… Twice. We have the Extended Mag AR which replicates the clip size of the CE AR, and the SMG does the same damage. The DMR and BR from Halo 4/Reach work virtually the same (although the 4 DMR looks miles better). The ODST SMG would just be a suppressed SMG, right? And the H2 Magnum was shockingly weak.

Everything else though, hell yeah.

Also, I would reeeeeally like the Needle Rifle, please.

I would always use the Halo 1 Assault Rifle…ALWAYS

Um,the H4 BR is pretty much the COG BR except with different sounds(which was highly criticized), and the COG benefits. There’s really no point. ODST SMG, however…
Also, the H2 pistol is pretty much the tactical magnum/gunfighter magnum(I always mix them up.)

The concussion rifle is practically the brute shot, so asking for both means asking for the same weapon twice, one with a better melee.

i like the idea but you should rethink about the flamethrower first of all you will have to be close to your enemies which will probably have better weapons that a turret and the H4 BR is a weapon that we already have which is the COG BR but the rest is just going to be so good for the req pack and you should have mentioned how many rp well it cost

I don’t understand why some people aren’t digging the classic AR idea. Sure,we have an extended mag AR and the SMG but the old AR was a hit scan weapon and not projectile, as was pretty much every gun in Halo until Halo 3. What better weapon to give hit scan to in this game than the classic? I think it’d give the gun a unique feel compared to the weapons we have that are already similar to it. I would LOVE to see the old AR back in Halo. It sounded powerful and was satisfying to use.

Besides it too would be low poly to match the M6D Magnum.

Well I wouldn’t make this into a dedicated pack, but it would be nice to see them in the sandbox. That said, there is already SO MUCH STUFF.
