I may be mistaken but I could have sworn somebody from 343 said that there was going to be a classic playlist. I for one hate the new stuff they added, and cannot really find any enjoyment out of the playlists that are given. So if there isn’t a classic playlist in the works 343 really needs to start working on one because in my opinion the rest of the playlists suck and don’t work for competitive play.
As in Halo 3? Cause that’s still available to play dude.

Slayer pro is what your after! Thats in now! go:)
lol I just made a post about this! CLASSIC FTW
Pro does not have set weapon drops and it has sprint

No, as in the core gameplay that is a staple to the entire halo franchise. If we wanted call of duty then we would have bought call of duty.
Op means active camo and os stationary on the map. Power weapons not being shown on the hud for every noob to know where to go and if its there or not. Not instant respawns. No sprinting. No armor abilities and perks. Staticly placed power weapons that arent random. Power weapons that are worth picking up. No lightening fast reload times. And a game that actually takes strategy and holding down key points on the map with your team.
I think thats what op means by classic. Its a shame it even has to be called classic
I’m pretty sure 343i said streamlined, as in not having the new stuff. Slayer Pro is the “classic” playlist, having standardized loadouts (resupply, even starts, etc) and some slightly different settings.
It would be really impossible to make a perfectly classic playlist, and completely unneccesary since there are classic games still available.
You can not try to make a game play like what its not. Reach tried that… and did the classic playlist feel completely classic? No. Does Anniversary feel like CE? Not completely.
Halo 4 is Halo 4, Sprint and stuff is the new standard for gameplay. If you don’t want to play Halo 4, don’t play it. 343i shouldn’t use up valuble time and resources to redo everything they’ve worked on for one playlist that’ll hold the game in the past instead of moving forward. Tinker with settings in custom games for a more “classic” experience, but I don’t think we’ll be seeing a full out CE classic playlist again.

That is exactly what I mean now if there could be a ranking system thrown in with that we would be gold

Thing is, 343 didnt allow you to toggle hardly anything in custom games. And if this style is what you call the future of halo, then halo will be dead before the next game even comes out. If we wanted COD we would have bought it.
Even call of duty has stuck to its core principles since modern warfare. Thats why people keep buying it, because the core game is still there. 343 made the grave mistake thinking halo players wanted the cod features and style because cod has sold so well. Advert from your core game and you dont have the game anymore. Halo 4 is far from halo. Almost to the point where you almost shouldent call it halo. Meanwhile black ops 2 will still have all the staples of classic modern warfare gameplay.
Dont you even know why halo 4 was so hypes? It was because we all thought it was reverting back to principle halo gameplay. Instead we got reach thats even more call of dutyized.
