How many of you guys would like 343 to add a classic playlist in halo 5? I would, and others would too! Obviously the halo 5 maps wouldn’t work for this, which is where forge comes into play. Every classic halo map from ce-4 has been remade, so all 343 needs to do is select a handful of these maps and add them into a classic playlist.

Because they are perfectly toggleable in custom games and some of us don’t like Jetpack mechanics?
Ha! I would love a classic playlist to comeback… Doubles would be great. Oh, snipers would also be terrific. Hmmmmmmmmm… Oddball and King of the Hill would also be terrific to see put back into the game!

If the MCC wasn’t broken I would say no, but…

Then why would 343i give us the options to turn off the features in Halo 5? Weird right? It’s almost like they are giving us the option already to create a classic playlist.

Then why do we have the option to do so in custom games? I’m not asking them to remove Spartan abilities in arena, just want them to add a classic playlist to cater to those who don’t like the new movement system. 343 has nothing to lose, but to gain from this. This would be a great opportunity to bring back some old veterans.

Ya but what if people dont have friends or a spartan company to play with they cant play mcc because the search times are so long and will it hurt you if they added a classic playlist?
I remember the halo reach classic playlist was the lowest populated playlist out of all of them

People like you are a cancer to this community. Why do we need a Grfiball playlist? You can change the settings and play it in customs. Why do we need a doubles playlist? You can change the settings and play it in customs. Why do we need SWAT (that’s an honest question. I have no idea why that trash is in the game in favor of much better playlists)? You can play it in customs. Why do we need snipers? Why do we need a real HCS playlist? Why do we need permanent social slayer? I could continue.
It’s not removing features (I love how people call modern shooter gimmicks “features”). It’s creating an online experience that caters to a significant audience, both within the user base that purchased this game and the extremely large numbers of people who didn’t buy Halo 5 or maybe even an Xbox One at all because the last Halo experience sans “follow the leader” industry trend copying was Halo 3. And given that we already have 1-to-1 remakes of nearly every classic Halo map (perhaps a blatantly obvious indicator that a classic playlist would be in demand), it would hardly be difficult to implement. But apparently, you only think the small niche of “modern Halo” fans should ever be catered to and everyone else just needs to adapt or play something else. I hate to break it to you, genius, but tons of people have already done the latter and they will continue to so long as 343 refuses to cater to the core, long-time players of the series and people like you champion it like it’s progress. It hasn’t worked well so far, but let’s see how long it takes to drive this IP straight into the ground with this approach.
TL;DR: It would be great if people like you would stop making brain dead posts like this defending the status quo and providing more excuses for 343 to not make easy improvements to the online experience. Just shut up if you have nothing constructive to contribute, as is obviously the case.
I’d like a rotating Classic Map playlist…feature a few old maps and rotate it every few weeks. I’m not asking for “classic features”. It’d just be fun to play some older maps with the newer spartan abilities.
