I am going to start by saying that Halo 4 in my opinion is a much better game that Reach ever was. The kill times and lack of bloom make it feel much closer to Halo 2/3 to me.
One thing that I feel H4 is missing though is that classic Halo game type to go along with that feel. I know that a “classic playlist” was tried in Reach and it failed to draw the population that many thought it would, but I think that was mostly due to the way Reach played more than anything else. H4 plays in a way that a classic Halo playlist would work.
Changes for classic Halo:
No AAs
No sprint
Weapon pickups on map
Grenades on map
No ordinance drops
No killcam
No instant respawn
So my question to you guys is, do you think a classic playlist is needed in Halo 4 and do you think it would work/be sustained with population?
> And no sprint - Then I wouldn’t touch any other playlist.
Sadly you can’t remove sprint in Custom Game options. Then again, 343i removed bloom in some Reach gametypes, which couldn’t be removed in Custom Game options, so I guess anything is possible.

I can see that working. They just need to remove individual objective gametypes and put them back in one playlist.

Exactly, basically as close to Halo 2/3 gameplay as possible.
