I don’t know if anyone has noticed as I haven’t really seen anyone talking about this, but I would like to point out that the classic Overshield effect is back. For those that don’t know what I am talking about, in Halo 2, 3, and ODST whenever you had an Overshield active on you, there would be this white lightning effect that would cover your Spartan, so far this was only in the 3 games I mentioned before, and was either not present or changed in future Halos. For instance, in Reach, we did not even have the lightning effect, instead opting for setting your feet on fire as an indicator. In 4 and 5 the Overshield effect returned but it was a very sick-looking lime green. And in the first Flight, it was whatever color your shields were, and was not as defined before. Now in the current build, it’s back to the white electricity it was in 2,3, and ODST. I am very happy about this as I preferred this type of Overshield and did not like the change, heck the change was even present in Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer. What are all of your thoughts on the return of this classic effect? I feel this does better at establishing that someone has the Overshield than a little line following behind you. It also makes the effect feel distinct from your normal shields. I would expect that if you or overloading shields, it would take on its own effect rather than just adding more of your own shields.
