I like Halo 5, however I have seen a lot of people on the forums talking about how they hate a lot of the new mechanics, so I made this thread. The main point of this thread is to try to get 343 more aware of a Classic playlist is Halo 5. What is different with Classic? If you play a gamemode in the classic playlist, there will be no thrusters, no ADS (besides weapons like the Sniper Rifle and pistol), no floating while aiming in the air, no ground pound, no sprint, and no power weapon location markers. So basically, a playlist without all the new features in Halo 5, kind of like what Activision did in CoD: AW.
343, make it happen. A lot of the community would love if you guys implemented a Classic playlist into Halo 5
As much as I would kill for classic settings… Quinn has all but said they don’t want to do that. They want everyone to be playing the same settings…at least until the “oooo new shiny game” crowd peaces out. Then they may make tweaks to settings to try and save the population…which won’t work but that’s for another discussion.
Devil’s advocate: If you want classic Halo settings you can have them in… MCC. When it starts working. Properly.
Your logic, followed to it’s conclusion, would require “classic” playlists, Halo 4 playlists with AAs and ordnance, and then Halo 5 playlists with all the new mechanics and ludicrous pace of play. Additionally each type of setting would need both ranked and social playlists, no? Before long the entire population is divided up into groups of a few dozen players because everyone is THAT specific about what they want Halo to be.
Don’t forget with Truth/Regret forged to be like Midship/Heretic, and other forge remakes of last Halo maps. Other than that, I fully agree, we should have a classic playlist.
I personally don’t think the community needs to be given the privilage of telling 343i what they think the game should be to anywhere near that degree. Balance considerations, map problems, etc absolutely, but a separate playlist for players that want to remove basically everything that defines this iteration of the series? No. That’s an awful idea.

who is quinn? i agree i think they’ll end up trying to but i don’t think it’ll last. its not a bad game its just nothing special… i mean to me its 343’s version of fall and destiny. i meant why even took the name from destiny’s character lul… (not being legit about that but i mean come one…really?)
