Battlefield manages to make all of their DLC free. I’m sure 343 can spare a free map pack, especially if it boosts traffic and makes them money in the end.
Smaller, well known maps will make slayer more enjoyable. All of the current maps are relatively large.
3.You could even make a “classic” playlist where there’s no DMR and possibly other weapons so the older maps flow like they used to. Even take out ordinances and other features for an MLG style. It would play like older Halos. Which I’m sure is what everyone misses.
Maps I’d like to see:
Ascension
Ivory Tower
Lockout
Midship
Sanctuary
Turf
Warlock
Construct
Guardian
Narrows
The Pit
Most of these are good 4v4 - 6v6 maps, which I believe is what H4 is primarily missing. Let me know opinions! Who knows, if this got big enough, maybe 343 will realize they’d benefit from a map pack like this. Probably not though.
Its called forge. Theres remakes of all these. Good remakes at that. I have yet to find midship and one other i cant think of. Plus the MLG maps are pretty good. Search my fileshare or “gamebattles” fileshare to find some stuff.
Not entirely sure where you got the idea that Battlefield DLC is free (certainly not, considering the map packs are $15 a pop). But I like the idea of getting some classic maps back, and would have no problem paying actually.
Definitely The Pit. As for others, I don’t know which I’d want. The maps I loved in 2 didn’t work that well in Reach (except for Sanctuary). I don’t know how they’d work in 4.
If they came out with a free “classic” map pack that was just a gift to the community, I would be all for it. There are, however, some very good remakes that people have made in forge. Unfortunately the file share system on Waypoint isn’t up yet, but you can still find some great, forge-made remakes on Youtube with gamertags listed.
However, I’d mostly like them to make new maps with the map packs.
> > Sandtrap would play well in Halo 4…I think. Unfortunately I think the only DLC we are getting are the 3 map packs that they already announced.
