Classic Loadout Weapon Ideas

So I’m sure many of you are familiar with the Halo 2 Battle Rifle that was introduced with the Infinity’s armory right? A mythic loadout weapon that brought back so many good memories and had such a nostalgic feeling to it. After playing with it for awhile, I thought, why not bring back more classic weapons. First off, I’d love to see the CE Assault Rifle back a return. It was never good unless you were in a close quarters situation. It would deal less damage, but spray faster. Next up, the Halo Reach Assault Rifle. This thing was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, by far the best looking assault rifle. I would’ve loved to seen it make a return in Memories of Reach, but unfortunately, that’s not going to happen. Next, we have the Halo Reach DMR. This thing fired slower than the DMR now but dealt more damage. Secondly, the H2 version of Dual-Wielded SMGs. They’d fire much quicker than the normal SMG, but reload a lot slower. Now I know some people are going to argue that we don’t need these weapons, they’re just re-skins of existing weapons but that doesn’t matter much to me. It’s really about the nostalgia, they brought back the H2 BR, why stop there?

Summary:

Nothing is special about the reach versions except bloom ant the CE assault rifle is basically an smg.

CE assault rifle? NO.

CE assault rifle has a much higher spread making it useless at pretty much every range, the smg could beat it at med range.
Reach AR had the longest kill time of all AR’s, 19 shots.
Reach DMR has bloom, nuff said.
Dual weilding smgs, to get it to work probably you would need to nerf one the base damage for one smg which would make it useless unless its dual weld, yes you could force it to be dual weilded but how would you throw a nade or melee? If its meant to be like older dual weilding the second hand weapon would be dropped.

The only reason the H2BR was added was because it was almost identical to the halo 5 br. Bullet magnetism is slightly increased in it but its barely noticable. Any other iteration of any gun is too different from the base gun in halo 5 and just about all the base versions of older guns are worse then their current forms. I dont want a gun to be added if its going to be useless.

You can say “well just make it cosmetic” but that would not be that weapon than. A skin does not make a weapon, how its plays and the power it possesses is what makes it.

CE AR would be cool, and it was useful past short range, as long as you burst it and don’t go full auto.
