Classic Helmets still not in the loot pool? :S

I stopped playing Halo 5 for about 6 months and I recently returned playing. I was surprised to see that the Classic Helmets are still not part of the loot pool.

When 343i added the Halo Reach helmets/armor to the game in the form of packs, a few weeks/months later all these helmets/armor were added to the loot pool. With the classic helmets this still didn’t happen for some reason.

So, 343i, I know you will not answer me directly, but what’s the harm in adding these helmets to the loot pool? Or just sell the classic helmet pack every month or so.

There are theories that Halo Infinite will be released later this year or somewhere in 2020. So why not add the loot you have/had into the loot pool now. For these last few months.

I don’t want to beat a dead horse, but the same can be said about the sticker shock skins and the “dead” professional Halo teams skins (Optic Gaming, Evil Geniuses, Counter Logic Gaming et cetera). I know some contracts have been made between those gaming companies and 343i, but I would be surprised if they would hate it if people who support those teams could use those skins.

Long story short: Halo 5 is here to stay for a few more months or maybe a year or so before Halo Infinite takes over: What’s the harm in adding some “old stuff” to the current loot pool? It will maybe even bring back old players…

Cheers!

Because it’s still perceived as an exclusive pack and they’re likely still getting some sales from it. They add it occasionally to the in-game store for purchase with RP, but I doubt they’ll add the helmets to the regular pool anytime soon. I agree with you though, but I don’t think they will actually do it. Thank goodness there won’t be much of this nonsense in Infinite.

How do you know these issues will not be in Halo Infinite?

Anyway, my point was that the Halo Reach gear were also added to the loot pool after a few weeks or months.

But can you remember when they last had the classic packs for sale?

It’s more of a general statement about the whole REQ system, but we’re not free from the practice in its entirety. Read this. I’m only speculating, but like I said my guess is they’ve not included them in the regular pool because they’re getting sales from it as a standalone pack. That must not have been the case for the Reach items or they had planned on only keeping it a timed exclusive. Once either of those were met, they all got added to the regular pool.

The last time I recall seeing the pack available for RP was maybe late last year. It’s been some time now so it should be available at some point in the near future assuming 343i still has a schedule for it.
