You think it would be nice to have these helmets; especially CQB, after being missing-in-action for so long… but Halo 5’s lackluster customization, poor armor design, and the fact that none of these helmets come with matching armor, it just falls short.
After wasting 150,000 REQ Points on this pack, I spent most of the day stuck in the Armor trying to figure out what armor set to match up my old CQB helmet. It doesn’t help that CQB in Halo 5 looks unfinished (the cheeks are supposed to be black and the secondary color is supposed to be applied to the brim, not those barely-visible little stripes on the top), but when trying to match it up with a decent set of armor, I was baffled once again by Halo 5’s poor armor design.
The plastic-y look of the armor. The colored techsuits. The less-than-faithful recreations of classic armor that otherwise might have gone well with the classic helmets (Mark V Alpha, Intruder, Wrath, Mark IV GEN-1, Mark VI)… and of course the lack of full armor customization.
It doesn’t matter what helmet you put on in Halo 5: Guardians. When I go into Theater to get some badass shots of your Spartan, and I get an up-close look at those weird glossy plastic textures, it looks less like a Spartan and more like a cheap knock-off of a McFarlane toys action-figure.
I hope that at some point in the lifespan of Halo 5: Guardians 343 Industries will give armor customization an overhaul. Maybe update the textures, make them a little less nauseating to look at… implement full armor customization (we know this is possible thanks to modders on the PC version), black techsuits obviously, and maybe some additional skins for the Classic Helmets we just got… I really want a Classic skin for the CQB helmet.

I wasn’t talking about the customization… I mentioned about the helmet designs about CQB for ex.
Could careless about the “classic” helmets… but it’s was epic to unlock all the HCS stuff by getting additional packs… that is what made this pack worth saving all those points for… heck I may buy one just as a thank you for them doing that.

You gonna criticise something that’s never gonna get fixed? Sucks to be you. And just because you didn’t like ONE thing about ONE helmet, that doesn’t mean the WHOLE Req pack is a fail. And who cares if it matches or not with an armour. Just wear it and stop whining. You’re a stubborn, little man, you know that?

Was I talking about just the CQB helmet? No, I was talking about the entire armor customization system, and how this pack does very little to improve it… and we know that things like full customization and black techsuits are possible. If the modders can do it, so can 343 Industries.
