There are a lot of Halo fans today that don’t enjoy sprint, spartan charge, or ground pound.
343, if you didn’t know this, but the OG Halo players never asked for sprint or anything, it was good as it was.
I understand that you put these abilities in Halo 4 and 5 in hope to reach a bigger audience, but instead you drove a lot of the Halo audience away, just as what CoD is going through right now, more of the CoD fans are looking more forward to Battlefield 1 instead of Infinite Warfare.
Halo 5 doesn’t really offer anything for the players that aren’t too fond of these new additions.
Before anyone says “Play MCC”, the player population is far too low and still has a lot of issues, plus, those are games we’ve already been playing for years.
Adding a “CLASSIC” playlist in Arena won’t hurt anything what so ever, only benefit, it would give a lot more fans a reason to play and enjoy Halo 5.
Using remade maps mad from forge from Halo CE 2, 3, and reach would be great, as they don’t have special places to clamber or anything like that, and aren’t fit for sprint.
If anyone from 343 is reading this, I know this I’m in the minority wanting this playlist, but there are always going to be minorities in communities, and you need to acknowledge us too. Saying this again, this playlist will ONLY help Halo 5.
I agree completely, 343 needs to be more respectful to the fans that prefer the classic gameplay, instead of throwing us a stupid, broken collection and throwing in a patch every 4 months, it shows how much they care about this chunk of the community.
Sometimes I wonder if 343 wants to force their version of Halo on people, hence why Infection is actually ‘Hive Mind’, Locke got way more screentime than Chief, there is no classic playlist despite the options being perfectly toggle-able in Custom Games, Sportsball no longer is a bomb (go Esports! sarcasm), Grifball has no rounds, etc.

And here you are asking for a playlist that emulates them as close as possible, with no armor abilities, and even remakes of the maps from them. Just couldn’t help but find that amusing. I don’t totally disagree with you. It would make a nice social option.
