Endless straffing battle rifle duels: Nothing was more exhilarating then playing that endless side straffing battle rifle duel dance to the death with an erratically mountain dew fueled weaving squeaker who has already slept with my mom and sister multiple times. Now with the inclusion of SPRINT and THRUST the enemy has the GALL to try and evade death! How dare they! I shot you first, therefore YOU MUST DIE NOW. Not later, not next week or tomorrow or the day after, now you must die! Who cares if I got the drop on you with two BR pops to your head, YOU MUST stay and continue fighting in an uneven duel that even the most risky of odds makers in vegas would not give you a chance on…death is your destiny NOW so stand still and let me finish you off so we can both have a good FUN time!
USELESS WEAPONS: If your like me and Bungie circa 2004-2011 then you would agree that most weapons are only meant to look cool and not actually be useful, so thats where the buck should stop! Just like when Henry Ford rolled those first Model Ts off the assembly line and said you can have any color vehicle you want as long as you like BLACK! So should go weapon balance! You should be able to be competitive with any weapon of your choosing in Halo as long as you choose a battle rifle! I cannot believe 343 has forsaken this very basic staple of classic Skilled Halo and opted to go all CODish!
NOT THAT LEDGE: Every skilled athlete knows that the surest way to get at extra ummmppphhhh in a jump is to tuck & fold your legs up under your body at the apex of a jump to eeek out that extra precious vertical climb. And every skilled athlete knows that if you are unable to do that then you have NO RIGHT to wear a super soldier battle suit, and you certainly do not deserve to grasp that brass ring perched above! How dare 343 violate the precious sanctity of the folded leg jump and cheapen the good Halo name with a functional war suit capable of enhancing crucial abilities.
ILL GET THERE WHEN I GET THERE: Hey teamate you need backup NOW or your gonna die, well so what! Nobody really cares about you anyway because saving your bacon does nothing for my K/D ratio! Oh your getting all shot up and the enemies about to score a flag…Big Deal! I I lost the keys to the company warthog and sprinting has not been invented yet so I really have no way of getting there quick anyway. So just relax and deal, while I take a casual stroll to your locay. Geez you act like its a life or death situation or something. Have some respect and let me take my time to smell the roses!

I was kinda with you up until here. After that, you somewhat stopped making sense to me. There’s a difference between ‘effective’ and ‘dominant’ and the BR has in past many times kicked sand at the line hoping we wouldn’t notice when it stepped over. There is also a difference between ‘Classic’ and ‘Old’ that you appear to have disregarded in its entirety.
While I certainly have nothing against BR users (my apologies for my AR’s behavior recently. It’s been experimenting with things I wish it hadn’t) you must realize how abrasive your approach to arguing for its favor is going to be. Chances are mine will be once of the nicer posts you get here.

Uhh, the pistols, AR & shotty were pretty useless in H2, H3 & Reach. Halo CE had amazing weapon combos: AR/Pistol, Shotty/Pistol, Sniper/shotty, Rocket Launcher / pistol, etc, etc. Halo 2,3 & reach had BR PWNage.

You know, despite the troll-ish nature of this post, I can’t help but feel as though you do bring up some valid points. I… I don’t have anything to say to counter any of that.
