Since vanilla halo 4 is going to have sprint, jetpack, forerunner vision, loadouts and all that nonsense… I’m expecting to play 90%+ “classic” playlist. However, I have a lot of concerns for this as well. Will classic have sprint? will it be ranked? will it have loadouts? will it get berried into the bottom of a subsection of playlists that nobody looks at?
I hope it truly is a “classic” feel, and most of all i hope it is one of the first playlists in the lineup so that the 90% of people who just pick team slayer and don’t care what happens might accidentally pick it once in a while and realize its glory.
It is just embarrassing that we’ve moved to a point in the Halo universe where there is a “Classic” mode now. Why should it even be called Classic? If Reach hadn’t destroyed the natural Halo, we’d just be playing Halo. But now we have new age Halo and classical Halo. I’ll be playing classic of course. And hopefully there is more than just 1-2 playlists for this.

It saddens me as well… But at this point all I can hope for is that the classic playlists are saturated with players from both ends of the skill spectrum.
And i know what you mean… I actually enjoyed reach (not as much as 2-3) for the first few months when “Arena pro” was around with only sprint and dmr start. Then they changed that out with arena with armor abilities and my love/hate relationship with reach turned into an almost all hate relationship. I’m an avid team doubles player… so when Reach then decided to take away arena doubles as a whole i quit playing the game all-together.

I’m not against any and all change, I’m against A lot of the changes they have implemented. I could write a 3 page essay about why I dislike each one, but it wouldn’t accomplish anything as far as arguing someone so close minded.

Halo 4 should be based all around core Halo gameplay like Halo 1, 2, and 3. All these AAs, loadouts, instant respawn, sprint, and etc make me sick. I wish Reach never came out and us Halo veterans since Halo CE only get promised 1 playlist? There better be way more then that and if not then its gonna get old real fast and if there is 1-50 no ranking system then Halo is dead for sure. Keep those stupid terrible gimmicks the F*** out of my ranked playlist’s.

Because feeling like halo is subject to opinion. These people think uneven starts, random weapon spawn time / location, instant respawn, default sprint and buyable in game changes “feel like halo”.
