I’ve recently been playing halo reach’s forge with the backwards compatibility feature and I must say that it is much simpler to use that halo 5’s. Also I’ve noticed that the buildings and bridges and platforms tabs have been removed from forge which was commonly used by a lot of players to quickly build bases.

and the controls are so hard to get use to and (no offense to anyone good at the new forge) i cant really make a map with these controls. Now that i would be capable of making a great map, but like a mini game or something. Anyways, thats my only complaint, the controls. If there was a way to change then in a future update, i will be happy
I’d like to see an option to change the halo 5’s forge into the more remembered controls of the older halo’s. That way people who are just getting into forge can use both and see which one they like better. And for older forgers to use the controls they’re used to.

Stuff like this should be coming back to forge doon, some of the devs have been talking about prefabs and sharing out custom grouped objects. Not sure if / when any of this will drop though. Keep an eye out on Tom French’s twitter, he’s really enagaging with players about upcoming features and bug reports
I actually really like the new Forge controls. Initially they seemed confusing, but after about 15 minutes of adapting to them and now many hours later, I feel that they are superior to the traditional ones.
I can make amazing things with the new Forge controls. Not so much with the old ones.
Ok old forge is easier to use at first but this forge I have found to be better in every single way except there is a slight learning curve and there is no forge world.
I am very bad at the new forge controls. I like the halo 3 and reach forge. It was more simple, better. It’s hard to create maps with the new controls. I would like to see if 343i adds the classic controls later on.
The old forge is easier to use, but it’s able to be that way because it was inherently simpler. Halo 5’s forge is mord complicated, in that it has a ton of new tools and options available. To make forging fast, the controls had to be changed.
It’s hard to get used to at first, but once you get the hang of things, Halo 5 forge is undoubtedly the best forge has ever been, by a longshot. Even the controls.
