I here a lot of people on here saying that Halo 5 is bad and that Sprint is bad and everything else that is apparently wrong with Halo 5. I for one say differently. While, yes we are given new mechanics within the Halo Universe, 343 took up the time to actually allow us to remove Sprint, Clamber, Slide and Thrusters. To allows us, the players to play and have that classic feel from what we apparently enjoyed back in the old days.
Personally I wouldnt mind a Classic Playlist with actual maps made from the Devs that focused on this gameplay of the classics and then a Evolved Playlist with gives us the newer additions. I think it would work and with Forge we can remake old and newer maps for all to enjoy.
That’s one of the things I’m excited about with the release of forge. Just need to wait for someone to create the maps and gamemodes for some fun customs.

Exactly and there is a post around here somewhere where people have recreated old maps to possible perfection.
Oh wait, there we go!
I don’t think it will be that popular “among the H5 population”, atleast until the M6D Pistol can be added. The side-boost has been engraved as a normal movement option, and I wouldn’t care much about Sprint but I feel like many would feel very slow when trying to get in position to help someone.
Even if you look at the Lockout/Blackout remake “Lockup”, an overrated map with limited routes, it plays better on the remastered version that makes use of clamber in a few places and multiple options to move around on it.
But, I feel a Classic playlist would work better than one with many Forged orginals or minigames, just cause of familiarity. I think the Forgers want the remakes to work with H5 mechanics though, so it would force 2 versions.

Well with Forge it is possible to recreate those maps that fit the playlist and feel of both the original and evolved additions of Halo. The maps would be in scale different from each other but in essence the same thing. Scale it smaller for the slower paced gameplay and obviously enlarge for the newer mechanics.

Gameplay trumps graphics every time. If classic Halo matters to them they should put up with Forge graphics or play MCC.

Your not getting the point, people complain that the newer mechanics in Halo 5 is ruining Halo from its golden prime back in the day, referring to if people would understand, which in fact I am sure a lot do, that you can simply remove all the features and return to that original gamestyle, that you could create maps that surround that style of gameplay, Im not mentioning only remaking old maps but newer one that play well with it. Sure you can create the old maps In forge but for the Devs to create newer maps that go right with the classic play style means that those who are complaining about change, simply can just play what they are use to but with newer maps and possibly old one if they choose so.
All I am saying is that both worlds can exist within one another.

Well I agree with you there, the problem is this falls on deaf ears with the devs. It’s forced on the player base to do this via custom games and forge. We have to essentially build our own game.
343 can’t even put effort into publishing big team maps, let alone classic game play.
All this “free dlc!” content that everyone uses to worship 343 is hilarious. They publish a bunch of stuff their users created and people act like they just gave away a lifetime supply of free food or something.
Uh, no public file share to download maps easily, and no splitscreen. So unless you have a ton of friends playing Halo 5 at the same time: No. Classic doesn’t “exist.”

Well then I guess everyone has their own way of expressing what Classic is like. Im hoping in Halo 6 that these things are fixed.
