Over the years that Halo has been out, many changes to what emblems are and are not available have taken place. Some classics were taken out entirely, some were moved up or down in the emblem frame, and others remained undisturbed.
This sounds like such a small complaint now that I type it out, but from Halo: 3 to Halo: Reach, I used the “Classy Cat” emblem. This was the ‘Tomcat’ emblem mixed with the ‘Face Mask 2’ emblem. The effect created the look of a cat wearing a bow-tie with a collared shirt.
You may be asking yourself, “So, what is the problem?”.
The problem is that I focus in on the smallest details of the game. That’s the problem.
From Reach to 4, they moved the ‘Face Mask 2’ emblem up, and it no longer creates the same effect. In fact, I think the ‘Tomcat’ emblem is almost unusable.
Although I would like to see the “Classy Cat” return to the game in Halo: 5, I won’t hold on to the idea that by chance, the entire 343 staff will drop everything and move the ‘Face Mask 2’ emblem a couple notches down.
Do you have any emblems you like to use? Or ones that aren’t available anymore? Reply to this post if so! I would like to create a forum that everyone can share emblem ideas / old favorites on.
P.S. - I did find another emblem. Use ‘Tomcat’ with ‘Maximum’ and it creates a “Birthday Cat” emblem. (Maximum must be white, because of the eyes of the cat) — I still want “Classy Cat” back though.

Yes actually, because I had a trick emblem that I came up with that no one else I’ve ever seen use or understand how I did it. It worked in reach and 4, but not in MCC, and it was 4 diamonds with the crowned skull, both being colored white to make a really angry face on a diamond/square shape. I loved it and will probably put it on my armor I’m building, but I don’t think I’ll ever get it back because of inconsistent positions. Oh well 
is the Wolf emblem on 4 and MCC? im not of a very high lvl on 4 and haven’t had the chance to play MCC. so if it is please lemme know

I have seen the wolf emblem on Halo MCC. There is actually a second Wold emblem along with the original from Halo 4.
The Tomcat used to be my signature emblem until I switched to the crossed energy swords and put a fireball in the background creating the “burning crossed swords” which I’ve had for years.
I love the Didact’s Hand emblem in 4 and MCC, but why is it called “Rank Up”? It should be called “Didact’s Hand” also coming from a Didact fangirl here: we can get the Librarian’s logo in MCC but not the Didact’s? Not fair at all. Why didn’t they put it in there?

We can’t get the Didact’s but we can get the Librarian’s? But why not add more forerunner emblems to the mix? I’ve read all the halo books, and I feel like they could add emblems based on different oracles, the old human-forerunner war, and the logo of the Gravemind, Mendicant Bias, Offensive Bias, etc. No reason (with all the backstory the terminals have hinted at) that we shouldn’t have way more logo options.

Most of the emblems are UNSC based, some are Covenant like the crossed swords and the Mark of Shame but other than that, not enough Forerunner, I want more!

I just looked at all of the emblems… Wow… We have probably 3 or 4 forerunner emblems (Including guilty spark, hardlight, etc.)… Comparatively, we have 2 unicorn emblems, and all of the old Halo 4 rank logos. I just want some cool stuff to use.
In defense of 343 though, I wouldn’t expect them to have that many emblems based on backstory to Halo. More than likely, the majority of people that play the game haven’t read into any of the history, or understood the content in the cutscenes / terminals.

I feel your pain. So many logos that would look great if they would just knock a couple of the backgrounds lower / higher. They may change the entire emblem system in Halo 5, to go with a more do it yourself experience. I hope not, because I prefer choosing from the preset logos, but they should add a bigger variety, and leave the classics alone.

Kind of like the people that use the “No Camping” emblem or the “Headshot” logo and then camp hard / miss every single shot with the sniper? Haha.

That can make sense because not everyone’s into the whole story portion in the books, terminals, etc. But it would be nice to add a little more of that to give those who are in to it, something that they can use in the game.
There are some you can get in H4 after getting certain commendations like a Promethean one, I could go with that, but that means playing Spartan Ops nonstop killing Prometheans to get it.

Yeah, they should give us more emblems to choose from. Or separate it into sections, like forerunner, covenant, UNSC, miscellaneous, etc.
I agree on the Spartan Ops thing. I just don’t want to grind a playlist over and over to get an emblem that should just be given to me to make up for the lack of forerunner emblems in the game.
I saw a forum that rumored more forerunner-based emblems in Halo 5, so hopefully that will end up being true come October/November. I think it may, seeing as they are getting deeper into the backstory.

I’ve been using the same emblem since 2005 in h2. An olive and red grunt on a plain white background

Yeah and Spartan Ops is pretty much what I’ve been using to level up in H4, considering the fact that I’m not a competitive MP gamer. That’s a good idea, separate by category, for instance the Forerunner section can have logos for the Librarian, the Didact, Mendicant Bias, etc. the Covenant: a Grunt, crossed energy swords, etc.
Oh that rumor better be true! And if it is, please for the love of the Mantle, put the Didact’s logo in there as an emblem! I will be eternally grateful!
