I’m looking for players that want to play custom games with these settings on these maps, ideally on a regular basis. Noble map pack and Anniversary map pack are required. Leave your gamertag if you are interested. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Sounds interesting. But does the 110% damage resistance weaken too many of the weapons (plasma rifle, assault rifle)?
I prefer to use the new TU ZB slayer gametype with magnums. It’s zero bloom and has a five-headshot kill. The other weapons are not underpowered (too much at least) even though there is only TU ZB slayer. I have ZB CTF and ZB Crazy King, but without the “TU” in front, they have the four-shot magnum which is super OP.
The sandbox becomes a bit more defined. From close to long range your weapons would be shotgun, magnum, DMR, sniper rifle. Sword and hammer are still power weapons, especially coupled with sprint, but not over powered due to everyone having a 3sk pistol and shotgun. At the cost of eliminating automatic weapons, grenades are now brought down to a tolerable damage level. OS and Camo are still viable power ups. I think the settings, weapons, and maps will all play quite nicely together.
Edit: I guess the Needle Rifle could fill the role of automatic weapons. It kills in 7/10 head/body shots while the DMR kills in 5/8.
I would absolutely love to play classic gametypes. BUT, I strongly urge you to use the gametypes I have set up instead. I will put them in my fileshare tomorrow morning.
Both involve zero bloom. The slayer gametype utilizes a slightly modified version of TU Beta Zero Bloom where the magnum is a five shot kill but with zero bloom. This is better than anniversary’s because 1) anniversary magnum is too accurate and too easy to pull of 3SK’s 2) how often did you really pull off 3SK’s in Halo:CE? 3) I don’t like bloom.
The CTF and crazy king variants also use zero bloom. However, they still contain the 4SK magnum from before the TU Beta Zero Bloom gametype. So damage resistance was increased to 110%.
The core settings include:
Motion Tracker Range: 10 meters
Health Regen: 0%
Shield Regen: 200%
Damage Resistance (only modified in CTF and KOTH): 110%, “unchanged” in slayer
Melee: 75% (on 110% damage resistance gametypes) and 50% (slayer)
Movement Speed: 110%
Jump Height: 110%
Gravity: 110%
Starting Weapons: Assault Rifle, Magnum, 1 Frag
Supershields: OFF (Because Halo:CE did not have an overshield effect)
NO ARMOR ABILITIES
1 thing to note is that in the 110% damage resistance gametypes (KOTH and CTF) frag grenades that explode when close to you only eliminate shields and 1-2 bars of health. Therefore, they are not too overpowered and you only spawn with one.
