What is so “classic” about the OG Beam Rifle? Please, someone tell me… Why was this worth putting on the game?

You answered your own question for the first one, because it’s the old design for the beam rifle that we haven’t seen since Halo 3, so it’s classic.

As for putting it in, I’ve got nothing. We could’ve gotten a new weapon or bring back a grenade launcher from Halo’s past. But no instead we get a fourth sniper rifle.

Right but it nearly looks the same… there’s no need visually or functionally.

The Reach GL would be a great addition though, I agree.

I feel like the gl would feel weird in 5’s sandbox. The caster is basically an improved version of it anyways.

this is the classic beam rifle. its not new (to the halo franchise). Why would they replace a weapon in halo? It never happened and it never will. Even if they did, fans would be pist.
