When the TU drops, and Anniversary releases the maps. I’m pretty sure most of us will want more than a Team Classic playlist.
Right now Arena is extremely flawed. The skill gap is vastly reduced by Sprint, Jetpack, Bloom, Grenades, and Melee. But Team Classic is going to become the defining skill-based playstyle until MLG modifies all their gametypes with the new settings.
Basically I have suggestions for the gametype-map variants in Classic Arena as well, to keep them competitive.
Every veto will come up with 2 options. The top will always be Halo 2 Slayer, the bottom will always be Halo CE Slayer. Here are some specs…
Halo 2 Slayer
TU settings: Zero Bloom, Bleedthrough, Nerfed Grenades ON.
Loadout 1: 4 shot DMR, no AA, 1 frag grenade.
Player Traits: Movement Speed 110%, Jump Height 120%, Gravity 90%, Melee Damage 75%.
Maps: Hang 'em High, Beaver Creek, Prophet, Magus, Eclipse, Prolonged.
Halo CE Slayer
TU settings: Zero Bloom, Bleedthrough, nerfed Melee ON.
Loadout 1: AR, 3 shot Magnum, no AA, 1 frag grenade.
Player Traits: Movement Speed 120%, Gravity 90%, Player Damage 110-120%, Melee damage 75%.
Maps: Damnation, Prisoner, Hang 'em High, Beaver Creek, Magus, Rat Trap.
