okay,
so we all know that chief will be fighting some covenant during halo 4
but what happened to the elites that joined the UNSC, and the treaty?
and wasn’t the covenant disbanded after the war?
how come we are still fighting some covenant even though we are friends with elites, and the covenant basically doesn’t exist?
I’m seriously the slowest person I know. I totally posted in the wrong topic.

i don’t recall myself starting a complaint thread
i simply want clarification as to why chief is fighting some covenant on Requiem
We made a treaty with the elites but there were probably factions that opposed alliance with humans. As for jackals they are mercs so they will fight for anyone if the pay is right. Grunts being grunts they’ll join whoever they think will provide the highest chance of their survival.
Not all Covenant were happy with the treaty, some still hate the Humans.

its ok
Additionally if you read glasslands there was a split between the elites and ONI was trying to exploit to weaken them
These are Elites that still believe in the great journey, only now they are in charge instead of the prophets. They are also against the beliefs of the Arbiter.
Plus, the elites are confused because of lack of religious leaders, the prophets used to be their religious leaders and now they are gone
There was no treaty. And most elites still didn’t like us. Very few elites were loyal to the Arbiter, those who were fought along side us in Halo 3. A religious cult called the Abiding Truth hate the Arbiter for denouncing the forerunners and are basically an elite terrorist group. They could be the elites in Halo 4.
Even though we made a treaty, that does not mean that they will follow. Those that still believed in the Great Journey stayed loyal to the Covenant, and the rest sided with Humanity. The majority of the Elites in Halo 4 are Covenant Pirates who did not follow the Human-Covenant Treaty. The Covenant that find Master Chief floating through space are after the ship for loot, actually. After realizing what was on it (Master Chief, the Reclaimer) they attacked and both got sucked through the gravity well. After the treaty, the elites that sided with us went back to Sangheilios, their home world. The Elites also broke out into civil conflict, so some might just truly be causing havoc in space.

Yes there was a Treaty, I quote from the halo encyclopedia “Febuary, 2553, Lord Hood and a small fleet of UNSC Ships fly to Sanghelios and officialy sign a treaty to end the war. Lord hood invites the Arbiter to a ceremony to comerate those lost during the war”
So maybe it not exat but i Memorized the whole book, not word for word but im still trying
