So, I wasn’t sure where else to post this so I’d figured I make a dedicated topic. Anyways, as a recap we have
Halo CEA Mod Tools (Original Campaign/Multiplayer Assets)
Halo 2 Mod Tools (Original Campaign/Multiplayer Assets)
Halo 3 Mod Tools (Campaign/Multiplayer Assets)
Halo 3 ODST Mod Tools (Campaign/Firefight Assets)
Halo Reach Mod Tools (Campaign/Multiplayer/Firefight Assets)
Now, aside from Steam Workshop, I understand that we’re getting the Halo 4 mod tools (which will cover assets in Campaign, Multiplayer, Forge, and Spartan Ops) and the Halo 2 Anniversary mod tools (which will cover assets in the Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer and Forge modes).
So, my question is will the Halo 2 Anniversary mod tools also cover the remastered assets in the Halo 2 Anniversary campaign? For example, when you switch from classic to anniversary graphics in Halo 2 Campaign, you get a different model for the Plasma Rifle. Will we get mod tools allowing us to use that model for the Plasma Riffle instead of the Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer model?
The same question also applies for the Halo CE Anniversary models. As an example for that, when you switch over from classic to anniversary graphics, you get completely different Elite models. And they’re still at least slightly different from their Reach counterpart even though there’s an obvious connection. Will we be getting mod tools for those remastered assets? As far as I can tell the Halo CEA mod tools only allows us to mod the original assets in CE classic.
