clarification need please

Firstly hi,
I am a big halo fan and have been since i got halo on the first xbox!
Halo 5 is great with some nagging issues but i am not here to talk about them. I really could do with saom clarification on the weapon loadouts and armor abilities / descriptions.
i am sure this questions have been asked before, but for the life of me i cant find answer either in the forum or on google.

  1. Does the armor effect gameplay in warzone? Yes or no?

  2. Are rare, ultra rare weapons in the loadouts any better than the common, uncommon with the same abilitys?

Looking forward to reading your answers, hopefully putting to bed this issue which has had my circle of friends scratching each others eyes out once and for all!

1 - No. Armor is strictly for show, no advantages.
2 - Yes, but thats personal preference really

  2. They give SLIGHT advantages but think of them more like attachments from CoD. Sure that one gun may have better hip fire, but this gun is a better gun to start so it doesn’t really do much and you certainly aren’t going to struggle if you use the base weapon vs. a variant.

These are correct, the weapons just get different attachments depending on which one you pick.

Cool happy with the armor, but still with weapons?

Take a uncommon br with stabilizing jets etc and directly compare that with a rare which has the same. Will the rare be better because its rare, ie hit harder or does it just look extra pretty because its on a blue card :-).

The Rare most likely has a different scope, the scopes seem to be the main classification of the weapons. A Sentinel BR is not better than a Longshot BR, they just have different scope.

Ah ok, so it really comes down to what you prefer. So a br with long shoot is a br with long shoot no matter what colour it is.

Uhh, I think I know what you’re saying. But yeah every BR does the same damage and so does every AR, SMG and DMR. There are certain weapon that have different variants, such as the rocket launcher, that will do more damage. But no load out weapon has a damage boost, some are just better in certain situations.
