A while ago there was a lot of rumors/discussions about some sort of clan/group system in Halo 4. Basically some promotional info discussed an enhanced way to “create, manage and track” groups. Which lead people to be all “OMG clans!”

Plus there is the infamous unicorn versus wolves in the initial multiplayer videos which seems to hint at some sort of team emblem, which would make sense for clans.

So what do we officially know about clans or groups? Seems as though, at the very least, there is SOME sort of implementation. But the question is, what? And does it remotely factor in to a certain type of playlist or competitive system?

I haven’t seen or heard anything regarding clans. So it’s safe to assume, unless otherwise proven wrong by 343, that clans are not in Halo 4. That doesn’t mean that they won’t implement something on HaloWaypoint like bungie.net had with clans/group forums.

Don’t believe everything you see and hear in rumors, Unless 343i officially announces it, don’t trust the rumors.

The team emblems are just for the “fiction” of the multiplayer

I wish there were clans like in Halo 2 but i believe if there was, they would have announced it because it would be a big deal and likely boost hype.

So sadly, clans are likely out and i would expect nothing more than a “group” system similar to bungies
