Yeah, I feel that is something Halo lost along the way and should have brought back. I could have sworn the reason they took them out in the first place with a patch was it was pretty much a standby/modding playlist because everyone wanted to cheat to get their clans up. I would love to see it return since bungie is gone, but don’t hold any hope. I am however excited to see emblems above players heads in classic h2, instead of h3/4 callsigns.

I’m pretty sure they were never patched out, just not included after Halo 2. Reason behind this, I think it was in a Vidoc, was that it essentially served as a second friends list and for some reason that didn’t fit in with the 360. Personally I would love to see them back, clan matches were always intense and good fun.
I honestly doubt clan support will be included in this. This probably has a lot to do with this unified UI that the game will have. There is only so much you can do with a package like this before you run out of time.

Ah maybe I’m just remembering the leaderboards being taken down…old age my memories aren’t what they use to be haha
In leaked footage the MCC UI shows a box named “Clan Tag”. That by itself is clan support, not much if it’s just a spot where you can just type something in, but it is support. Legitimate clan support would make MCC epic beyond words and with new and better in-game anti-cheat monitoring the clan match playlist could come back. Even if it wasn’t ranked it would be glorious. Bungie has clan support for Destiny and reads through to XBL. So what’s the big deal? There’s no reason 343i can’t do it, and they would be mistaken not to take the opportunity and run with it.

> I’m not too keen on that. Microsoft for some reason has been against it since post Halo 2.
I remember hearing a rumour that Microsoft wasn’t happy with the way clan support was implemented in Halo 2 because people were essentially using it as a second Friends list in order to get around Xbox Live’s 100-friend limit.
I wish that the Xbox One would support clans across different games. Maybe Halo 5’s arena style gameplay will feature some sort of clan matchmaking where you need a full party of 4/5 in order to enter?
