Clamber was originally introduced to us as a tool. Instead of having our foot get stuck on a ledge and we wouldn’t make the jump, we would just clamber up. It seemed like a great idea at the time. Unfortunately, 343 made it a necessity, where you need to use clamber to get to power weapons and ledges.
Take truth for example. To get the fuel rod in top mid, you are forced to clamber up on the platform to reach it. Also, think of the 2 ledges next to where you spawn (the one with the hole facing the bridge and the one to exit the room), you have to clamber to reach it.
So for halo 6, I believe 343 should increase the jump height just a little bit and decrease the height of some of the platforms. Remember, it’s supposed to be a tool, not a necessity.
Edit: I still think we should keep clamber, but make it so it isn’t required to reach certain ledges.
Is clambering really such a big deal? I mean, it takes 1 sec and everyone has to do it if they want to go up a faster way. It’s not like some players have extra jump height that you don’t possess.
if you think about about it the examples you gave are still being used as a tool. a tool is used to help you do something. you dont have to clamber every where but the tool of clamber helps you get to some places.

People have to complain about something I guess.
I was always annoyed when marines would climb up crates and stuff in campaign and wanted to see something like it, and now we do.
If you crouch jump, you can save the 1 second animation on quite a few jumps. I think they did this to reward players who take the time to learn these jumps, but it doesn’t cripple the ones who don’t.

True, but you get the point I’m trying to make, right?
The big problem I have with clamber is when you get maps that are overly designed to accommodate it. You get a ledge! You get a ledge! Everyone gets a ledge!
I do like finding spots where clamber wasn’t intended though like on Regret when you can clamber up the side of the wall although it can also be seen as a negative.

Well I mean I’m just giving 343 a suggestion. I didn’t say that clamber was bad and shouldn’t be in the game, just that it shouldn’t be a necessity.

See, I didn’t even realize you could do that. I need to go practice my jumps now.

The Marines climbed because they can’t jump as high as a Spartan.

It’s just kinda annoying honestly. It slows down the pace and makes you immobile. If you were going to not make a jump, I can see how useful it is, but just to get a power weapon slows down the game.

Why are you complaining about this?
Each Halo 5 multiplayer map in matchmaking, encourages you to use your Spartan abilities (tools) I don’t understand why this is an issue?
