This request would be based on the game being open world and having ready access to vehicles but I just want to be able to circumnavigate a Halo ring in like a warthog or banshee. Also, that would also make an awesome achievement. “Congrats Magellan - 100G”

Agreed and if this is a thing there should be some significant ‘unlock/loot’ above an achievement though.
It’d be insane (very possibly in a good way, but also very possibly not) for Halo to go from being a very linear shooter to an open world on the scale you’re talking about over the course of a single iteration.
I think Infinite’s open world will be one or two steps bigger and deeper than the wandering segments in ODST were. I’m certainly not holding out hope for anything as gigantic as even a Skyrim sized open world map.
I’m very open to try it if that’s what they decide to do, though!
