Chronological Title Order Remasters?

Hey all,
I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that does this, but I own all the Halo games physically, and I have them ordered by chronological place in the universe.
Example:
Wars
Reach
CE
2
ODST
3
4
5
Wars 2
However, where would things like the remasters go?
I.e. CEA and MCC?
What’s their spot, when including content like terminals? They theoretically advance the story of the universe with those, but is that enough to qualify, say, CEA before 4, or MCC before 5? Or rather, do I just place CEA right next to CE, and MCC right next to 4?

I would put the remasters right after the originals. They’re supposedly the same game, just different versions

If you want to be systematic about chronological ordering, then I think there exists only one reasonable standard: at which point do the main events of the game occur in the timeline. From that point of view, CEA occurs simultaneously with CE, so either right before or right after CE is the only sensible place. However, when it comes to MCC, there’s just no single placement consistent with the chronological ordering. If I had anything but a digital copy, I’d probably go with right between Halo 4 and 5, since if the chronological ordering fails, my secondary ordering would naturally be order of release. (And for the same reason, I obviously have CEA after CE and not before).

I understand what you mean. Overall, that’s a pretty good order of the remasters. However, I’m not sure if MCC should be placed between 4 and 5 by release. I’d place it there for the pre and post H5 cutscenes, as that builds up to H5.

I think Halo CEA should be placed before as it has the Halo Reach Anniversary map pack which is Halo Reach so it should be somewhere between Halo Reach and Halo CE. MCC is much more difficult as it’s 5 games in 1 so I would either place it directly after Halo 4 or directly before Halo 1.

However, I would say that it’s much more effective to order the games in the order that they got released to the public and maybe separate PC, Vista, Xbox Original, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows 10 games so you can easily determined which console that the disc can be used on.

I sort’ve organized my 360 titles that way - but for ease all the Xbox One Halos come after all the 360 Halos.
