Chosen vs Forge hog

Anyone else notice the forge hog is immune to stun rounds from the chosen? this must be a bug, but its another reason why the developers really screwed us with the insane buff to forge.

He isn’t immune mecessarily, but it only affects him about 1 out of 10 times. I think it’s because of how quickly he moves. The slow from the Plasma Rounds upgrade might come from the latent plasma left after the shot, which means if he already has a high velocity, even if the plasma round hits, the percent slow doesn’t seem affecting because 30% of 100 mph is still 30 mph (Not real speeds, hypothetical lol). And that means he only spends a fraction of a second in the plasma.

At least that’s my theory. Who knows what the actual issue is, but I agree it’s annoying.

No it does not. It was changed like two or three seasons ago.

Sorry, i should of said slows instead of stuns. like loomx said it happens 1 out of 10 times. With all other heroes it happens every hit.

I’ve been super busy this month and haven’t played much Atriox, how is he this season?

I doubt it’s because of his speed. Honor Guard moves practically just as fast and he definitely gets slowed. Idk if it’s due to his armor type but it’s pretty broken if he’s immune.

Yeah I guess the speed doesn’t really affect Honor Guard’s interaction. I know it happens very rarely that he gets slowed so I don’t think it’s intentional immunity. I’ve just noticed it is usually when he’s not moving very quickly. Could be coincidence. Either way, they ought to fix it to be consistent.

So I’ve tried to test the taunt and while it does seem to force units to attack him, it doesn’t stop their movement. At least for heroes. So it looks like heroes aren’t locked into standing still, though more testing will need to happen to figure out why some units roll out and others don’t.

But it’s not supposed to be a stun in the traditional sense. Just force all units in radius to shoot captain. Though not the most reliable ability lol.

The base Spartans also stun. Their ground pound is actually a 6 second AOE stun if you aren’t highkacking a vehicle. Longer than warlord’s stun (I think) but they don’t have nearly his damage to follow up with.

Lol, it’s not that dramatic but he does with the 1v1 surprise, surprise.

So funny enough, the Spartan slam is long enough to burn him down if your grenade marines weren’t incinerated. So stunning him with Jerome (Cutter’s) and then launching volleys of grenades can kill him. That said, if the forge hog has backup, RIP.

Yes, your summary is correct. But remember, he will rebuild the hog in 25 seconds, so defeat his actual army and burn that base down lol.

Yeah, Anders is really good right now with R&D 2 but you couldn’t tell cause of the hog lol. My 2s partner plays her a lot now to really good effect.
