choose weapons/vehicles

here’s a fun little game, let’s come up with a list of weapons and usable vehicles we’d like to see in infinite but there is a limit.
15 unsc weapons
15 covenant weapons
8 forerunner weapons
15 unsc vehicles
12 covenant vehicles
3 forerunner vehicles

you are allowed to choose variants or req versions of weapons and you are allowed to make up your own weapon. there typically is less forerunner stuff so there is a smaller limit on them. as far as I can remember there are only 7 default versions of forerunner weapons so for your 8th you have to either pick a req version or make up a new one assuming you’ve selected every default version.
if you want a specific game version of a gun (ex: if you want a suppressor but specifically the halo 5 suppressor) then add that, but if you just want the general gun and don’t care for a specific version then no need to specify.
if you have a new idea for a weapon/vehicle feel free to explain what it does. also if you think a gun should have some kind of adjustment add that as well.
standard weapons are included so if you want an assault rifle or pistol you should reserve a spot on your list for it. lists don’t include turrets.

My list:
UNSC weapons

  • assault rifle (MA5D) - battle rifle (halo 2 variant with slightly lower rate of fire and increased scope range) - DMR - magnum (with reach scope but slightly more damage than reach) - ODST magnum - SPNKR rocket launcher (larger splash radius than pilum. anti infantry, no tracking, faster rate of fire than pilum) - sniper - shot gun (h5 with 8 shots per clip) - rail gun (2 rounds per clip with faster charge than h5 standard but slower than whiplash) - APR (automatic precision rifle. functions like a stabilized long shot ar with a slight damage boost) - pilum rocket launcher (air tracking, less splash damage but higher direct impact damage) - SAW - SMG - spartan laser - SOBR (spec ops battle rifle. equiped with silencer and night vision scope that highlights targetsCovenant weapons

  • plasma pistol (halo 5 variant) - plasma rifle (halo ce variant) - carbine (halo 2 variant) - energy sword (functions like halo 5 variant with halo 2A design) - needler (halo 4 variant with slightly larger clip and sounds more like bungie needlers) - blood of suban - beam rifle - brute plasma pistol (SPV3) - spiker (halo wars 2 version would be very nice to see in a fps game) - gravity hammer - particle carbine (SPV3) - fuel rod (reach variant) - combine rifle (kinda like a needler version of a plasma repeater. same rate of fire as plasma repeater, each shot does a little more damage than regular needle, takes almost double the amount of needles to cause a super combine but combine is effective against vehicles) - storm rifle (over heat time from halo 4, a little more damage than halo 4, accuracy of halo 5, has a 1.5x scope) - hunter beam cannonForerunner weapons

  • light rifle (halo 4 variant) - suppressor (halo 5 variant with slightly higher rate of fire) - bolt shot (halo 5 variant but weaker tracking ability) - sentinel beam (halo 3 variant) - Spec Ops binary rifle (halo 4 variant with 1 shot per clip) - binary rifle (halo 5 variant) - knight blade (wider swing radius than energy sword, no speed boost, longer swing time than E sword but more knock back) - incineration canon (halo 4 variant but battery operated like halo 5)UNSC vehicles

  • warthog (much longer fire time before over heating and a small armor buff) - gauss hog (halo 3 gun variant) - mongoose - rocket hog (halo 5 variant) - gungoose (halo 2A variant) - scorpian (reach variant) - falcon - wasp - mantis (slight armor buff from H5 but missles function the same as H4) - kestral - eagle (small infantry drop ship used for dropping a small fireteam directly in combat. holds 1 pilot and 4 passengers. light chain gun with high rate of fire on the nose. pilot has access to side doors. while open the passengers can fire at enemies, while closed the passengers can’t be killed unless a grenade was thrown in before doors closing or if the eagle is shot down. eagle is the heaviest armored air vehicle) - elephant - jack rabbit (faster than mongoose but gun is weaker than gungoose) - riot hog (heavily armored version of the halo 3 transport hog) - transport hogCovenant vehicles

  • ghost (halo 5 variant) - assault ghost (halo ce ghost) - wraith (halo 3 variant with slightly faster rate of fire) - banshee (H5 damage, speed, and armor with no shield and more classic design) - anti air wraith (halo 3 variant) - reaver (missiles can only fire when locked onto air vehicle) - Invader phantom (smaller and faster version of the phantom for players to drive. nose canon fires plasma, not concussion rounds. maintains it’s own relative gravity meaning players can walk within the ship while it’s flying.) - chopper - specture - shadow - ghost ultra - sword specture (replaces plasma canon with needle turret)Forerunner vehicles

  • phaeton (helios variant) - nyx (3 manned, fast ground (hovers) transport vehicle that can temporarily turn invisible) - trident (forerunner hover tank. it’s canon is basically just the hannibal tank canon. it does not have a secondary turret but can hold 4 passengers, 2 on each side. tridents have relatively light armor for a tank vehicle)

Here’s my list of goodness. Also, I’m assuming that Halo Infinite is continuing the trend of leaving out dual-wielding. I will also have a separate list to reflect a possible dual-wielding game below this one. Also, I would probably bring back the reticle bloom visualization seen in Reach, because there was just something about those growing and shrinking reticles that jived with me. For the record, reticle bloom as always been present in Halo since the first game. The thing is, Reticle Bloom is just another name for something called Error Angles, which I learned when I created my own Custom Edition mods. The wider the angles, the less accurate the weapon becomes as it is continuously fired. Basically, the growing and shrinking reticles aren’t what cause a weapon’s aim to diminish as the player keeps firing, it’s the error angles, which the “bloom” simply represents in a more direct visual manner to the player.

[As of 09/16/2018*,* I have made some changes to my list, especially after playing the MCC in campaign and multiplayer post update and some Halo 5 multiplayer.]

UNSC WEAPONS - No Dual-Wielding In Game.

  • BR55 Battle (H2A/H5 Multiplayer) - the adult form of the M6D pistol, after surviving long enough in the wild. - MA5D Assault Rifle (Halo 5) - 36 round magazine (largest mag size since HCE’s 60 round MA5B), and the most accurate AR in the series. Love the firing sound. Would like a larger reserve, however, like say 360 instead of 216? - DMR (Halo 5) - the only UNSC weapon in Halo 5 that is actually more simplistic in its design than what was seen in a Bungie-era game, believe it or not. - Sniper Rifle (Halo Reach) - an actual anti-material rifle that can blow up vehicles! - M6H2 Pistol (Halo 5) - I wanted to use the M6D, but since the H2 BR is basically the same thing, I decided against it. Lacks a real scope, but it’s easily the best pistol since the M6D from Combat Evolved. - M20 SMG (H5) - I really love this variant of the SMG, despite the lack of dual-wielding present in Halo 5. - M90 Shotgun/45E (Halo CE/A) - Best Shotgun since DOOM. Also the most realistic since DOOM. Real SG’s don’t lose stopping power after a few feet. - SAW (H5) - more balanced than H4, still powerful. - Flamethrower (HCE - PC) - can be refueled, unlike H3 version. - Railgun (Halo 4) - H5 Era RG is… temperamental currently, so H4 version it is. - Spartan Laser (Halo 3) - SPNKR Rocket Launcher (Reach) - Grenade Launcher (Reach/H5 MP) - You know you want the Pro Pipe, baby! - Frag Grenades (Reach MP Beta) - feels like Combat Evolved grenade. Can kill a low health player before detonating if it bounces off their head. Yes, really.UNSC WEAPONS - Dual Wielding Present In Game

  • BR55 Battle Rifle (H2A/H5 Multiplayer) - M6D in rifle form, is king. - MA5D Assault Rifle (Halo 5) - Most accurate and powerful AR since H3, but with powerful firing sound like H1 and Reach. - M6C Pistol (H2A) - H2A version has decent stopping power, high rate of fire, but isn’t overpowered. Only headshot weapon for DW. Plus, I love the firing sound. - M7 SMG (H3) - Well balanced for Dual Wielding. - DMR (Halo 5) - M90/45E Shotgun (HCE/A) - read above statement. - Sniper Rifle (Halo Reach) - blows up vehicles, has cool scope. - SAW (H5) - more balanced than H4. - Grenade Launcher (Reach/H5 MP) - Pro Pipe. 'Nuff said. - Railgun (Halo 4) - Was far better balanced than the current H5 iteration. - Flamethrower (HCE - PC) - can be refueled, unlike H3 version. - SPNKR Rocket Launcher (Reach) - Looks, feels, and sounds powerful, tracks vehicles. - Spartan Laser (H3) - well balanced for what it is. - Frag Grenades (Reach MP Beta) - can kill someone with low health if hit in the head. I did this once during the MP Beta. It was awesome.COVENANT WEAPONS - No Dual-Wielding In Game

  • Plasma Pistol (HCE/A) - Best Plasma Pistol, overcharge damages unshielded enemies. - Plasma Rifle (HCE/A) - Best Plasma Rifle - Needle Rifle (Reach) - my spirit animal. - Needler (HCE/A) - can detonate dead bodies. No other Needler has done this. - Brute Plasma Rifle (H2A) - hey, Brutes might be present in game. - Covenant Carbine (H5) - Best accuracy and nice firing sound. - Gravity Hammer - Brutes might return. - Fuel Rod Gun (Reach) - Plasma Launcher (Reach/H5 Glitch) - SQUEEEE!!! - Concussion Rifle (Reach) - Particle Beam Rifle (H3) - balanced weapon. - Brute Spiker (Reach) - Brute Shot (H3) - Energy Sword (H3) - Sword Jousting, baby. - Plasma Grenade (Reach)COVENANT WEAPONS - Dual-Wielding Present In Game

  • Plasma Pistol (H3) - Balanced for dual wielding. - Plasma Rifle (H3) - Balanced for dual wielding. - Needler (HCEA) - Best Needler. - Needle Rifle (Reach) - I would love to use this on the Flood if they make a return. - Covenant Carbine (H5) - well balanced and most accurate Carbine. - Particle Beam Rifle (H3) - Brute Spiker (H3) - Balanced for dual wielding. - Brute Shot (H3) - Fuel Rod Gun (Reach) - Energy Sword (H3) - best sword. - Plasma Launcher (Reach) - Plasma Grenade (Reach) - Spike Grenade (H3) - Brute Mauler (H3) - Good for dual wielding and fighting Flood if they appear. - Gravity Hammer - Brutes might return.FORERUNNER WEAPONS - Dual Wielding Inconsequential - I would like to note that if the Flood make a return in this game, I want to use these weapons against them.

  • Bolt Shot (H5) - Properly balanced and useful. - Light Rifle (H4) - Better than H5 version - Binary Rifle (H5) - Feels better balanced, and I like how it forms a beam when firing while zoomed in. - Suppressor (H5) - Actually feels useful, with its range and new tracking ability. - Splinter Turret - I love this thing. It’s useful against EVERYTHING. - Incineration Canon (H5) - This would be perfect against Carrier forms. - Sentinel Beam (H2A) - Classic. An elegant weapon from a more civilized gaming era. - Scattershot - Forerunner Shotgun that would be amazing against Flood if they return.UNSC VEHICLES

  • Warthog (H3) - unlimited ammo for chain gun. - Falcon (Reach) - Pelican (Reach) - Hornet (H3) - Scorpion (H2A) - Best Tank because its turret doesn’t need a second person to operate it. - Mongoose (H5) - flips the least. - Elephant (H3) - Gauss Warthog (H3) - Rocket Warthog (Reach) - Transport Hog (Reach) - Mantis (H4)COVENANT VEHICLES

  • Ghost (H3) - Banshee (Reach) - Wraith (H3) - Anti-Air Wraith (H3) - Spirit Dropship (HCE) - Phantom (H3) - Scarab (H3) - as an enemy in campaign. - Revenant (Reach) - I like this vehicle. - Spectre (H2A) - I’ve always been fond of this vehicle. - Brute Chopper (H3 ODST) - There could be Brutes in Halo Infinite. - Prowler (H3) - There might be Brutes in Halo Infinite. - Shadow (H2A) - I think it looks cool.FORERUNNER VEHICLES

  • Phaeton

Everything I’m listing are things that aren’t already guaranteed to be in Halo Infinite. For Instance the AR is going to be in Halo Infinite so there is no reason for me to list it.

UNSC Weapons:

  • Grenade Launcher - Target designation - The Answer - Guass Sniper Rifle - Automatic Rail Gun - Nornfang - Flamethrower - Flame Grenades - Silenced Pistol - Silenced DMR - Silenced BR - Sticky Detonator - Lotus Anti-Tank Mines - Detachable Needle turret - ONI Chaingun TurretCovenant Weapons

I’m too lazy to make a list so i’m just gonna say two of the things i want: STICKY DETONATOR, REVENANT. 343 i’m begging you :frowning:

I’ve tried to stick to weapons that are fairly unique from one another so that each one remains relevant and changes up gameplay considerably. I don’t want several versions of the same weapon.

UNSC Weapons - Mix of classic and modern designs

  • Tactical Magnum - Supressed Submachine Gun - Sixty-Round Assault Rifle (H-CE/H-Reach inspired appearance) - Squad Automatic Weapon - Battle Rife (Classic-inspired appearance) - Sticky Detonator (Longer range) - Classic Style Shotgun (Longer range like CE shotgun) - Rail Gun - Sniper Rifle (Classic-inspired appearance) - Rocket Launcher (Non-homing, SPNKR appearance) - Anti-Air Rocket Launcher (Homing, SPNKR appearance with alterations, less splash damage) - Classic Style Spartan Laser - Machine Gun Turret (Short range, Halo 3 appearance and reticle) - Machine Gun Turret (Long range, Halo 2 appearance and reticle) - Gauss CanonCovenant Weapons- No Storm-Rifle-like designs, mostly classic-Covenant-inspired appearances with some exceptions

  • Plasma Pistol (Larger H-CE / H2 Appearance) - EMP Plasma Pistol (Smaller H-Reach appearance, Drains energy faster, higher damage, EMPs vehicles and turrets) - Plasma Rifle (H2/H3 mix appearance) - Brute Plasma Rifle - Needler (Any) - Covenant Carbine (H-5 appearance with classic colour-scheme) - Beam Rilfe (Classic-inspired new design) - Plasma Caster - Fuel Rod Canon - Plasma Launcher - Energy Sword (Flaring H-CE, H2, H3 mix appearance (not Anniversary)) - Brute Spiker - Brute Mauler - Brute Shot (H3 style) - Gravity Hammer (New Fist-of-Rukt-inspired design)Forerunner Weapons- All based on Bungie’s Forerunner / Sentinel design

  • Splice Pistol (Hardlight energy weapon from Halo Legends, similar to H5 Boltshot but more effective, rare campaign exclusive) - Sentinel Beam (Grey and red) - Major Beam (Gold and blue) - Sentinel Shot (Energy shotgun, Blast appearance similar to H-3 Brute weapon muzzle flashes, Ricochets like Scattershot) - Sentinel Launcher (Yellow energy mortar, explodes on impact, has a high arc but always hits where reticle is aimed, no need to aim higher like other weapons, dropped by Sentinel Enforcers) - Pulse Beam Rifle (Red Enforcer infantry weapon, starts slow but speeds up like H-5 Suppressor, does not curve like H-5 Suppressor) - Target Beam Rifle (Sentinel Sniper similar to Pulse Beam Rifle and Brute Sniper Concept) - Defence Beam Turret (Stationary turret / support weapon, has enemy or allied AI until operated from behind when in Campaign, fires super Sentinel Beam like Guilty Spark in H3)Will have to return later to do the vehicles. The Covenant still need a turret in my opinion. Couldn’t fit the Plasma Canon in the fifteen, so will probably include the Shade in the vehicle section as a cheap trick.

I like this game! Here is my weapons list to start:

UNSC weapons

  • Magnum (classic zoom, not too powerful - support weapon) - SMG (love the H5 design, but H2A did it better! Close combat, good against flesh, bad against shielded enemies - no scope, silencer version in campaign and forge) - AR (HCE design, close to mid range, 60 rounds, less spread, smaller reticle than SMG - no scope) - BR (H2A design, projectile based in campaign, BTB, Invasion, WZ; hitscan in 4v4 MP modes) - DMR (Reach design, no bloom, recoil, slow fire-rate, huge damage) - Sniper (H3 or Reach design, less magnetism, ricochet bullets like in H2) - Shotgun (HCEA design, H3 balancing, 7 rounds, no buffs or scope of any kind) - Sticky Detonator (smaller explosion radius, laud beeping sound, wider radar on gun) - Grenade Launcher (small splash damage, but large EMP range - good against shields and vehicles) - Rocket Launcher (no lock on*, huge explosion radius, reduced splash damage, SPNK design - obviously. Who would ever change that? Right 343i? RIGHT?!*) - Rail Gun (2 rounds per clip, similar charge to H5, small EMP effect, but not as good as Plasma pistol or GL) - Spartan Laser (slow, really slow, but best weapon against vehicles, larger area of effect of the beam itself than H5) - SAW (H4 design, but a darker tone of grey, H5G balancing) - Flame Thrower (No one else? Really? Anyway, first person, area burning damage, fast TTK, low range, large canister, but slow recharge) - Machine Gun Turret (Halo 2 design, long range, fast TTK, detachable, overheats)Covenant weapons
(Red Banished variants in campaign, Invasion, WZ and Forge, but not standard in MP - faster projectiles, higher fire rate, faster overheat)

  • Plasma Pistol (halo 3 variant and battery balancing, high fire rate and slow overheat when not charged - really don’t like H5 look and sound, worst redesign imho) - Spiker (close range, faster melee, small damage against shield, high damage to flesh) - Plasma Rifle (stun effect, H2A design, close to mid range, only good against shields) - Plasma repeater (stun effect less effective, mid range, high fire rate, no overheat, but slows down the more you use it, slower TTK than AR, Reach design) - Carabine (H3 design and balancing, mid range, fast and deadly. Needs more shots, but has a similar TTK to a BR) - Needle Rifle (H:R design with different role: mid to long range, x 3.5 zoom, slow fire rate, 3 headshots to kill, 6 body shots for “pink death” + splash damage) - Beam Rifle (Project Contingency design - love it! - and H3 balancing) - Energy Sword (H2A SP design, small BMS bonus, H3 range) - Gravity Hammer (H3 design and functionality) - Needler (Halo CE design, large clip, lower magnetism, classic sound, pink cloud of death with splash damage, a true PW) - Brute Shot (H3 design and functionality, more ricochet when hitting a wall) - Plasma Caster (needs a new role though, Brute shot kinda takes its spot. I would love to have a mid range bow like weapon! Single shot, more range when charged, Headshots kills immediately, on body does damage on impact, only kills after explosion, small splash damage) - Fuel Rod Canon (Reach design and balancing, best version so far imho! really fun to use) - Hunter Beam Rifle (works like in Halo 5, but faster TTK, excellent against vehicles) - Shade Turret (HCE design, Covi drop them from ships in campaign, mid range, fast bolds, slow fire rate, splash damage on impact, fast TTK)Forerunner weapons

  • Bolt Shot (identical to H5, mid-range, maybe lesser the magnetism - can we rename it to Forerunner Gun btw? Don’t see much of a “bolt” anymore) - Suppressor (close to mid range with a slight stun effect, magnetism similar to H5, ricochet bolts, slower TTK) - Light Rifle (H5 design and functionality, maybe lower the fire rate) - Sentinel Beam (blue laser, H2A MP design and balancing) - Binary Rifle (H5 design and functionality) - Knight Blade (lowers BMS, absorbs partial damage, swing is similar to the gravity Hammer, but slower, creates an EMP on impact with splash damage) - Incineration Canon (Halo 4 red design, H5 battery balancing, larger impact area) - Support Beam Turret (stronger sentinel beam, small charge time. Equipped with AI, fires automatically - can be stationed on a wall)

UNSC Vehicles

  • Doozy (boat / jet-ski) - Jackrabbit - Warthog - Gauss Warthog - Troop Transport Warthog - Cyclops (newer version of Halo Wars variant) - Scorpion (inspired by classic style Scorpions, not Halo 5) - Colossus - Mammoth - Combat Kestrel - Transport Kestrel - Pelican (inspired by classic Halo 1 / 2 style Pelicans with the mesh / net below the ceiling) - Longsword (darker, no front window, inspired by classic Halo 1 design) - Prowler (or Longsword stealth variant) - General Civilian Vehicles (like in Reach) i.e. Forklift, Spade, Cart, Genet, Dewmax, HC1500

Covenant Vehicles

  • Ghost - Chopper - Wraith - Anti-Air Wraith - Locus - Goblin (Grunt Goblin Jockey from Warzone) - Shadow - Banshee - Spirit - Stealth Phantom (Green, active camo) - Seraph - Blisterback

Forerunner Vehicles

  • Seeker (War Sphinx) - Collector (Aircraft, primary weapon is a crusher / large claws like Sentinel Enforcer, secondary weapon is automatic firing energy weapon) - Runner (extremely quick / agile, four legged walker, can jump high, melees only, not very durable)

I feel like 15 weapons per faction (minus Forerunner) is a bit overkill. Something a bit simpler would be awesome.

Yeah. Have to agree. It was difficult to find something for each number, but still fun.
