Since Chief is rocking a new armor model boasting a jet pack I though we could use it’s functions to replace armor abilities. The jet pack will be mapped to the left shoulder button and will serve two separate functions that replace the major armor abilities most commonly used. (Camo will once again be a pick up, possibly bubble shield as grenade too.)
If you are walking, (feet on the ground), and press the left bumper your character will receive a forward boost while walking, resulting in a dash like sprint. That takes care of the sprint AA.
The second function of the jet pack would be it’s obvious function, added jump height. Almost similar to a “double jump” which simply gives a burst of height after you have left the ground.
Apparently it’s not a jetpack but a “Zero G thruster” or something like that so it wouldn’t really have much of an effect if it was activated on a planet.
> A thruster is a thruster regardless of the atmosphere or lack there of. Do you like the idea though?
If they’re going to bring back sprint and jetpack then I would definatley like to see them do it in this manor because it seems more balanced then the sprint and jetpack in Reach.

It seems balanced to have almost every armor ability usable at the same time?
> A thruster is a thruster regardless of the atmosphere or lack there of. Do you like the idea though?
its a zero-g truster and according to the books, it can only be used in space to maneuver as it doesn’t possess enough power to move MC in an environment possessing gravity with a 2000 pound armor
> As SketchyBR stated above, it is a Zero-G Thruster Pack, meaning that it is only meant to operate in space.

As I stated, it wont function as a jetpack in Reach. You cannot fly around with a meter for boosting. It is simply a short added burst in jumping.

There has been NO Halo books on Halo 4 and his current status. It looks much bigger than his normal Zero-G boosters.
@Didact Legen777
It would combine jetpack and sprint as defaults but toned down so sprint would just give a short speed boost and jetpack would give you a slight boost in jump height, which imo is more balanced.
Also, how are 2 AA almost all AAs?

Camo, as I stated, would be a pick up again. Bubble shield would be slid into the grenade category. Armor lock is pointless and broken. Evade is blended into sprint with the boosted walking. Did I miss any?

Not entire armor abilities and not all of them. Smaller game play adjusters available to everyone without load outs. Not sprint but a short dash. Not a jet pack but a added jump height. Two armor abilities isn’t all of them…

You mean you can’t camp in high up places if jetpacks are in the game? The only reason why everyone hated AA’s in Halo Reach is because it made the game more run and gun, wilst making it less noob friendly so you couldn’t rely on camping power weapon spawns and advantagous spots to win game (most ‘EmlGEEe’ kids, I consider noob for the way they play. Anyone can get a 30-2 game camping a certain power weapon or advantagous possition).
Therefore every tryhard left Reach and went back to quick scoping in MW3. The only thing that WAS really wrong with Reach’s multiplayer sandbox was the bloom and slow kill times. Anyone that disagrees is probably just horrible at the game. I mean, every AA is so easily countered it’s not even funny. If you get killed by a jetpack user, it’s probably your own fault for sitting up on that same perch for half the game, or you are not very visualant. If you get assassinated by a guy in camo (or gets the drop on you), you probably need to get your eye sight checked, the camo sucks. (Sprint has no large complaints, so no need to go over it).

The reason people left reach is because it is not fun. aa’s are annoying. Reach is a game full of -Yoink-.
