So, the other day I was watching halo 4 forward unto Dawn, and I noticed that master chiefs armor looked exactly like it does in halo infinites trailers, just a cool thing I noticed, thoughts?
I think his new armor looks far more like his armor in Halo Legends, but I suppose 343 is drawing on a lot of old media. I imagine they did the same for the FUD live action movie. Either way, love his new armor.
I actually like this new armor, much better than 4-5.

I like it, especially the bulkiness of previous armor generations. It’s cool how they mixed og Mk VI, Ledgends/FUD Mk IV, and the 4-5 suit to make this one. But personally I do like 4-5’s more.
I REALLY dig the new Chief armour. If you pick it a aprt you can find that it draws inspiration from other canon material. The overall look is from Halo Legends The Package, same as for Blue Team if we were to look at the cover of the new Halo novel Shadows of Reach. The helmet for Chief’s GEN3 can be traced back to his Mk. VI GEN2 helmet, but also some elements of the FUD helmet. The main body is definitely GEN1 Mk. VI inspired. If you look at his shoulder and hand plating you can see that is very clear it’s Mk. VI GEN1 inspired.
I would like 343 to make the GEN3 armour for every armour set that will appear in Infinite to have a blend of GEN1 and GEN2 (if applicable as some suits may not have a cunterpart from other generation of Mjolnir), instead of choosing the classic look over the newer look as myself and I’d imagine others do like some 343 suits like Enforcer and it’d be a shame if 343 threw all their work away. I think the community can give them a chance at this considering how good Chief is looking now.
