Why, you say? Little did you know there were TWO Arks. One known as the Lesser Ark, the one Chief destroyed. Then there was the Greater Ark, that made rings that are 30,000 KM in diameter compared to the Lesser Ark’s 10,000 KM rings.
So on top of the Lesser Ark’s rings, there is also the Greater Ark’s rings. 5 rings from the Lesser Ark, and I think 6/7 from the Greater Ark.
I think it is evidenced that Chief is going to be blowing up a lot more Halo because of this;
Cortana: Chief, it’s a Halo!

well, the main history is about Halo not about MC but poor guy he will be blowing more halos
I actually had an idea that this is how the trilogy/series is
going to end MC having to hunt down and destroy all the Halos
but i thought there were only 7 like it said in the game
