e3 2013 chief had worn armour like he’d been wandering around for days, torn paint from the sand etc cracked visor, yet this on locke confronts looks like a brand spanking new chief. straight out of the clone factory :)!

Well, this new trailer could occur before the E3 trailer. Or maybe Chief gets new armor after the E3 trailer. Or maybe the condition of his armor in one trailer or the other isn’t entirely canon

That last part seems most likely. When have pre-rendered/live Halo trailers ever been accurate to the game?
Huge Idea: Maybe Chief survives the initial encounter (some how), but gets insanely damaged and runs off into the desert.
