I LOVE IT! They did such a bang up job in Halo 4 and I didn’t want to see it go so soon. I know it’s outdated but it’s like a memento from Cortana.
Plus that probably means that the armory isn’t going to go through a huge design shift in MM so now they can concentrate more on fixing the current armory and making it perfect.
It can be assumed that all the current options are already there but maybe they might remove some of the less popular options. Armor pieces, Emblems, Visors etc.
Now we can get the ODST, Mk V, CQB and all the missing sets that didn’t make the cut for Halo 4 along with new visors and emblems.
If Elites are planed to come back they will have time for that and they could bring back things like Kat’s arm and armor effects and build on these things to make them better than before and not waste time rebuilding the whole armory.
Halo 5 could potentially have the most completed armory yet!
Master-chief had nearly the exact same armor between Halo 2 and 3 and look at the armor customization difference between those two games. If what you’re saying is true, that kind of means Halo 4 was a Beta (which it kind of was already).
I don’t think people would be super happy if they just recycled all the armor. I think it would be more interesting if they got rid of half the armor and made lots more new armor.
Yeah I think that keeping the stuff from Halo 4 but adding in armor variants from the previous Halo Games would be great. Things like ODST, Mark V, Hayabusa (unlikely but possible) and many others should definitely make a return. But I don’t think I’ll get bored of my Strider Helmet. Even though my armor looks completely different right now! Looks like Waypoint hasn’t updated itself yet.

If new armors are like Halo 4… better they do nothing. The Halo 4 armors are HORRIBLE and looks like Dead Space/Star Wars/Crysis/Mass Effect.
¡THIS IS HALO, NO STAR WARS!
Master Chief’s armour shouldn’t have changed to begin with until Halo 5. It actually would make more sense for him to have upgraded to new armour now, than it did for them to change his armour so radically in Halo 4.

We’ll probably keep all the good armor from Halo 4. So if the new armor is screwed up we could just go back to the sets that we wear right now.
I’d say it’s worth the risk if there’s a chance for some really good armor. What are the chances that all the new sets would suck?
