who do you think is master chief’s new A.I? I have a few suggestions
a new Cortana as halo 4 suggested as a possibility that would honestly make things really interesting in my opinion and really open a lot of potential character development for chief and build upon what was established in halo 4
Isabel form halo wars 2 since 343i have said in the past that halo wars 2 would tie into infinite in someway then again she formed a bond with Jerome
roland is definitely a possibility and he has experience with working with Spartans in the past
mendicant bias definitely could be one since its been implied that he’s been trying to atone for his sins maybe him trying to help chief defeat the created to redeem himself
what about feroh from hunt the truth since after she was killed at end of hunt the truth and her brain was recovered what if they used that for a A.I and gave it to chief?
these are just some of my suggestions if you have any others that I cant think of list them and what do you think of my suggestions?
I think it’s gonna be the central ONI AI BB or Black Box. He’s strong enough to contend with Cortana and the Created.

I thought him too actually If that’s the case how would 343 explain who he is since hes only been in books
It is most likely either Roland or a non-crazy copy/fragment of Cortana. I would personally love it to be Medicant Bias, though. MB is the one who originally stole Installation 07 with the intent of using it to wipe out the Forerunners. Halo 3’s terminals implied that he wants to redeem himself and helping the Chief to stop Cortana (who might be under the influence of the Flood, just as he once was) would be one way of achieving that. Having a Forerunner ancilla in our noggin would make in possible to get some really cool lore regarding the Forerunners.
Just read an article about this too, the hype is real and can’t wait to find out what or that a.i was at the end of that trailer!

I personally think its a fragment of Cortana. Roland doesn´t fit imo because i do not think he has the balls to go 1v1 against Skynet-Cortana. Medicant Bias is just another space -Yoink!-. Two of them? … nah not really.

I always thought 343 opinion was what appears in the books remains in the books. Could be wrong though. But BB lacks some
humanity. Wouldn´t fit well with the MC. Both wouldn´t talk much with each other. Just basics. -Go there … , -Shoot that…- , -Hack the terminal…-, and so on.
For whatever reason I have a feeling it will be a re-created version of Cortana that Doctor Halsey will produce for Chief.(Maybe even see a good cutscene with it being made). That would make for some interesting scenes towards the end of game with an old Cortana encountering the new. Obviously could be totally wrong but I like the idea of it.
yes but is not cortana because all cheap is blue color
I think it’s gonna be Exuberant Witness. They will find a way to upload her as a AI. Her part in H5 saving Blue Team was way too important to just cast aside. She is a remnant of the Builder faction of forunners who also built Installation 07 aka Zeta Halo.

yea I think that is very possible
You can’t recreate Cortana. Even if Halsey made a new AI the same way she made Cortana (which would probably be very hard to do given the circumstances), it isn’t going to be her. If Chief gets an AI, it should be its own thing not a copy+paste of Cortana. Making it so would be an insult to Cortana’s legacy and not fair for the new AI.
I am leaning towards Cortana, likely a fragment of her. I think it could make for an interesting plot device.

Great points. Even if Halsey tried the process again, her brain now is much different than her brain was back in 2549, at the cellular level. Even the smartest people can’t fight age, and even in a healthy person, an old brain is worse off than a young brain. A “Cortana” made from Halsey in 2558 (if it even worked) would be quite different. You’d have to take into account accumulation of senescent cells in the tissue, changes in synaptic plasticity, neuronal degeneration, and a bunch of other things.
If a new “Cortana” were to be created, it would more likely be done from one of the extra brains she froze down when she made her flash clones.

Yeah, but do we need to make Halo effectively a soap opera complete with good and evil twins of a character? Cortana’s original death at the end of Halo 4 has already gone to waste, let’s try to avoid making it even more meaningless.

Her death was meaningless imo. Bad story writing but that applies for h4 and h5 in general. We have to live with it though. We`ll see.
I might have said it in this thread or somewhere else but I think it might be a new Cortana model. Similar to what the Forerunners did with Mendicant Bias and Offensive Bias. I think Halsey will make a new Cortana model that can match the corrupt Cortana and help Chief stop her. Or it’s just a new A.I. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
This scene sums it up for me tbh. It doesn’t matter what this new AI is, it wont be Cortana, not really.

I feel as if chief wouldn’t accept a new AI, especially after halo 4 when Cortana tells him they might give him another Cortana model and then says “it wouldnt be me, you know that right?”
