Chief wearing the cloak

Do you think it’s still possible that we will see Chief wearing the cloak at some point in the game from E3 2013?

With squads being more or less a permanent feature in the campaign, I think the chances of seeing MC wear the cloak went down a lot. There’s also a lot of speculation that eventually got lost once we got new info. Will he wear the cloak and be by himself? His visor was cracked in the same trailer, is it possible that Chief still might get his -Yoink- kicked at some point in the Campaign?

I love Pancho Chief! I hope we get to see him in campaign. I hope they add a Sombrero too.

It was just a teaser trailer. So people didn’t know it was the Chief hence the cloak covering him, until it was blown off.

if it ever did see multiplayer usage, it would only have to be warzone. that in arena would only paint you as a target on brighter maps lol

…possibly. I don’t want to see them in PvP. Campaign story is cool though!

Simply a gimmick to promote the teaser of Halo 5 in my opinion. Along with the cracked visor. I doubt such things will be seen in the final version, although I could obviously be wrong.

If you watch the first episode of the sprint, there’s a piece of concept art that has chief wearing the cloak in a semi-urban environment at night.

I don’t have a source, but in some interview a 343 person (Tim Longo I think) said the second half of the game is very different from the first. But take that with a gain of salt.

I do believe that master chief does wear a cloak at some point, however it probably happens at the end of the game, or In some sort of extended cutscene in the middle.

I could actually see this at the beginning. With the e3 trailer, the same as the e3 trailer for Halo 4, is the first mission of Halo 5.

This also could be how they introduce Blue team with the chief wearing the cloak as bait, while the rest of the team starts to attack the guardian.

The first trailer for most games always seems to be a conceptual demonstration and do not reflected the same event in gameplay.

Personally I would like to see it in a stealth mission where you’re in a desert town trying to not look like a 7 foot tall cyborg man-beast.

ONI wants Chief back because he’s obviously gone crazy.
I mean, wtf was he trying to achieve, he’s 7ft tall and wearing power armour, and he expects a cloak to work.

Uses cloak to go incognito, could of just used Active Camo.

I was kinda disapointed for the fact that he will always have 3 others with him all the time, that rendered the teaser trailer kind of obsolete. I was hoping for a mission like Cortana in Halo 3, though they said that canonically that mission was accompanied by Arbiter and the 2 other elites that show up on Halo: Hunters in the dark.

Anyway I had a dream a few day ago, and Chief had that cloack. He talked with Lasky, and when they finished their talking Chief pulled up the cloak to his helmet. Strange… :smiley:
