Chief was at the center of what damaged the Ring

On this monitor you see that chief is right in the center of the of all the debris from the Ring. He is also very close to the center of the hole in the ring. This tells me that he had to be at the epicenter of whatever happened on the ring. That Explains why hes just floating in space again. I wasn’t sure if anyone else noticed that.
Another thing I noticed is at 0:32 you can see what hits the Pelican in the window. Its a small box thing, probably a piece of the Ring.

nice catch there maybe when it blew up he got blown into space and was there for a bit of time before bro hammer found and saved him

This is theory is further confirmed by John’s first reveal. As you can clearly see that he is floating among many debris, which should be Halo’s debris.

Let’s be honest; when it comes to the Covenant or a Halo ring, Chief’s usually at the center of every explosion or cataclysmic activity. Must be Micheal Bay’s many greats grandchild or something I swear.

It’s likely Installation 07, Zeta Halo.

As I have said before , If this is the opening cinematic , and that is Zeta , there had better be one hell of a long intro cinematic to explain all of this stuff.

First , what the hell happened? I thought Halo 5 ended on a shield world? How did we get to Zeta? How did we lose? How did The Halo get damaged (besides the obvious answer of Chief being Chief)? Why are we completely devoid of power and floating in space (see previous ellipsis) ? Where is the rest of the U.N.S.C.? They study Halos when they find them , but left this one here for at least a month (judging by the time jump in the trailer) after fighting ended , with no survey team to investigate?

I know at the end of legendary we see a Halo and hear Cortana humming? I think. But that only sets up what we are skipping over in this intro? Some one help me out please

they could explain this in the prologue or they could explain it over the course of the game.
