Though I really don’t think it is likely but could the hunt the truth trailers be from Halo 6 the destruction doesn’t match what the guardians can do they just leave a giant crater where they first pop out of the ground and EMP everything else while that city in the trailers looked like it was bombed. There’s also the smaller orange Guardian from the first Halo 5 trailer which never showed up which a lot of people think might be in H6 or it was the first draft of the guardians. I think the conflict would come from what to do with (Spoiler Alert) Cortana cause Chief beat up Locke just for saying she was no longer his concern if Locke jumps the gun and trys to kill her even in her current state I think Chief will react far more violently. So in an effort to protect her Chief may cause trouble at some point
What do you think about this makes sense in terms of what we’ve seen so far. Plus though at the end of H5 Locke helped Chief, ONI may still want to take him in so even if Locke is not an enemy there’s still that.
My advice is to not even bother thinking about it; what is at play is an out-of-control marketing team and a fluctuating script. I actually think Halo 5 has done irreparable damage to the mythology.

The lack of character development and background on characters pissed me off, but what really enraged me was the misleading marketing that hyped up a showdown and hunt that ended with little fanfare. Woohoo, one CQC battle and that’s it. You’d think Locke would’ve used more lethal methods to take down the Chief and his crew to prevent them from getting Cortana. That’s what I would’ve thought after that battle but LOL NOPE.
It all depends on what Chief plans to do about Cortana I think. Clearly Cortana needs to be stopped somehow and odds are Locke will be ordered to try and destroy her. Chief may want to still try and save her. So they could fight since they may have different objectives.
I don’t think they’re gonna fight each other. Halo 5 was supposed 2 be the game where they “fought” but it was basically just an argument and a fist fight.
I was kind of disappointed in the game compared to the trailers…from masterchief roiling through a city crumbling it was like hje started it and locke was going to have to “stop” him from doing the things that well master chief does. But then it was a…“um…sup bro we kind of like need to take you in because this dude said so but my other Spartan 4 peeps will just stand there while I try to solo your augmented body of a god.” but I think it may have took a development turn where they are trying to design the Spartan 4s to keep the franchise going because well…johns getting -Yoinking!- old.

I kind of liked Locke but Warden seemed like the only new character to get some development and really the only character really to get development. Still an epic campaign though not as much storytelling but very fun.
