Chief looks too thicc

I loved the trailer, the thematic elements, and the strong hints at a much more contained and story-driven game. The armor looks fantastic and the graphics are what I had in mind for the future of Halo.

However, I had the weirdest gripe. I feel like Chief looks a little too thick in general, especially his thighs and arms. In the part with silhouette his hands just look bulky.

What do you guys think? Agree or disagree? Does MC fit in his suit well enough or has he been hitting the enchiladas?

The armour is obviously heavily based on Chief’s Halo Legends/Forward Unto Dawn Mk IV armour. Unfortunately, I really don’t like that armour. It’d be fine if it was an earlier model of MJOLNIR, but as it isn’t, it doesn’t work for me. Partly because it’s quite bulky, and partly because Red Team’s Mk IV armour in Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2 looks so much better.

If it turns out that this is that very same armour, and it’s been updated by Halsey to better suit it’s modern needs, then I’ll be okay with him wearing it. I need the context behind the armour change before I can decide if I’m okay with it or not.

Maybe, but I was more comparing him in Infinite to 1/2/3/4/5. Even though 4 and 5 had more complex looking armor the leg proportions seemed more appropriate

True, I personally like this style as I loved the Halo Legends style armor

That’s fair. I guess it boils down to personal preference. I liked the Legends style but I also thought the lower half of his body was too overwhelming when compared to say Halo 3

6’8” and weighs nearly 300 pounds. Screw the new lore. It’s not realistic. Look up anyone who is 6’8 250lb and fit. They dont look like they are at their peek, and for a Spartan(that do weights for a living), that has denser muscle tissue, at 6’8 they would be huge.

The armor for MJORLIR needs to be thick. Two inches added to the helmat and boots makes more sense than just an inch to three depending.

The problem with the new design is the overly wide chestplate. It limits the range of movement in the arms.

I think the graphics and designs are great. A lot better than Halo 5 thats for sure.

i only have some minor issues with chiefs new armor.

  • the suits green color could be a litle less blueish and more beige
  • The shield emitters are missing
  • the plates could have a little more space between them to better show the spartans agility (especialy at the hip and shoulder) ( the buffness is fine, only the plates look to wide)
  • The plates could be a little bit more seperated from the undersuit (like in reach, not as much as in 4/5)
  • the undersuit could use some gen 2 influences, mainly for the stomach region and on the shoulders ( to show the hybrid origin of gen 3)

i think he could look a little more nimble. not h4/5 jetfighter style. but kind of like a jet-tank. a running, jumping and dodging tank, insted of a walking tank.

halo legends the package chief had wider spaces between the plates, so the acrobatics seemed more feasable. so either less wide armore or even wider chief

He looks like the Alpha Supreme Super Spartan, like he could rip Jerome in half. I like this Chief, he looks built and powerful.

I hope poeple dont complain too much and it gets delayed like the sonic movie.
