Its the Halo 3 armor, his model back in Halo 3 made him look really commando but with this current gen, he looks so thicc.
I get that he is 40-50 but for a Spartan bread for battle with stims and hardcore exercise and training, he should look like Captain America still even in his 40-50s.
He looks like a tank. I always thought that he looked too skinny in Halo 3 so I’m happy they went in this direction.
Nah. He looks pretty badass tbh.
The armour is actually a lot more similar to Chief’s Mk IV armour from Halo Legends: The Package, and Forward Unto Dawn, than his Mk VI from Halo 3. It looked bulky in those two media as well.
I think he holds a pretty good build. Looks like you wouldn’t want to be in his way…
I guess to me he looks like a body builder. I like his legends armor but they shouldv’e given him the Legends figure as well.
Ngggggggh, Lord Hood, I’m trying to sneak around, But I’m dummy thicc, and the clap of my -Yoink- cheeks keeps alerting the Sleeping Grunts…
The guy is supposed to have super human strength and genetically advanced muscles. He looks big and strong in the trailer, as he should.
I liked the bulky look in Halo 1, and never was a giant fan of the slimmer versions in Halo 2 and 3.

Pretty much this. I love the CE inspired art direction they take for Infinite.
It’s so the common player demographic can better relate to him. But in all seriousness, I think he looks beefier, not really fat.
Sorry but that would be Thor, not Mjolnir that gained all the weight.
I think he looks more muscular as he should that’s why I love the mark IV armor from the wars games.
I don’t think he looks fat, just bulkier, which I’m loving
Chief doesn’t look fat, but the chest piece is to wide and would limit his range of movement.
I made a fixed image:

Lol I really do not see why people are saying this. I dont think he looks too much different from any other halo.

Man looks like he can’t even touch his toes, the thickness to him was mainly his armor, now it looks like its his body in general.

This is him with the same armor, but more slim. — Or the Halo 2 anniversary version.
He looks a bit chunkier in the shot were he’s hanging in the pelican. But walking around he seems just like this big tank but not fat.
Its mostly of the new engine. I can say that it will look like in Halo 2/3 with the new design, or maybe like in Halo Legends, if you count the new armor model

A little too much “bread,” perhaps?
“I’m not fat, I’m big boned.”
“I’m not fat, I’m festively plump.”
