Ok confused. I might be way off so let me know.

Hunt the Truth takes place prior to Halo 5. I say that because they are just now discovering the Guardians.

And HUNT THE TRUTH SEASON 2 SPOILER!!!
The latest episode says the Chief is dead.

But Chief is in Halo 5. So Chief can’t be dead. And I would assume the live tv ad is also misleading by saying the Chief is dead.

its ONI propaganda as they don’t want people to know that chief is AWOL plus 343 already said that he doesn’t die in halo 5

This whole ad campaign and Hunt the Truth are all to keep us guessing. The only way he could die on Meridian for real is if that planet is one of the last missions, but it doesn’t look like it.
