Are we going to play as Master Chief in halo 5 or agent Locke? From the rumors ive heard its Agent Locke?? Does this mean that we will never again play as Master Chief??? D’:
We will play as Master Chief and Agent Locke, like in Halo 2.
Master Chief is confirmed protagonist, but Locke is another “primary” character.
Both. It’ll be like Halo 2’s campaign except Locke will play a larger role.
Halo 3 is the most FANTASTIC Halo to me but since Halo 5 has Arbiter, I see why not have him as Master Chief’s partner again, I don’t know what they are planning but I don’t see why not, maybe its more physics and sound you must add but don’t be lazy and just put in another spartan as another charcter. I see no reason why Locke won’t be a good charcter to play as but Arbiter is the warrior and he must be respected.
I’m thinking we’ll experience some unusual and interesting things when playing as the cheif in Halo 5: Guardians. Cortana’s death has woke him up and kind of shaken him a bit. I have a feeling he’ll be facing his humanity. Big time. Be ready though and always keep an extra pair of pants nearby. Pssst Pssst: Halo 5: Guardians is rumored to have some mind blowing, spine tingling, heart wrenching twists involved that’ll hit you harder than a NFL linebacker.

Source? Not that I don’t believe you, but I want to see for myself
I’m definitely looking forward to a Halo with some amazing emotional twists. Halo 4 had some good ones, but Halo 5 has an even better setup for this type of story.
They are both primary characters, but Chief takes precedence over Locke. Chief is never going to take a break.

And yiu know this…How?
I suppose this could be cool. It was decent in Halo 2. But when the story is mostly progressed through cutscenes, and the action is still of a linear “fight to the end of the level” conclusion and/or “press x” to initate dialogue/cutscene… I find it’s a tool of limited story telling value. Now if each character behaved differently… then it might get interesting.
We will play as both as Master Chief and Agent Locke. But probably not as much Master Chief time as we are used to. So if I were to guess it might be something like 60% Master Chief, 40% Agent Locke. Or maybe 50% Master Chief, 40% Agent Locke, and if playable 10% Arbiter.
It’s confirmed that Master Chief is the main protagonist, so don’t worry about it!
