I just watched Outside Xbox’s Co op gameplay and I noticed that when in the character selection you can still choose Chief, previously we have been told that only the Host could and has to play as Chief, what if they changed so that at least one person has to play as Chief because after one player (Andy) chose Kelly, the other (Mike) said that he then has to choose Chief.
Of course this is only speculation but I found it kind of odd that Chief is in the character selection if the Host HAS TO play as him.
I don’t think host is required to choose Chief nor do I think anyone in coop(assuming there isn’t 4 player). I’ll have to fine the video, but I saw two guys selecting they’re coop characters. One chose Kelly and the other was still able to choose between Fred, Linda, and Chief. He still chose Chief but that not the point.

I know that chief has stronger melee and Kelly is faster. Wonder what Freds bonus is.

Chief also has fast health/shield regen. Some of the characteristics must be repeated.

does chief have stronger melee because fred was the close quarters master in the novels chief was just kinda averaged and well rounded out, and very lucky

Nvm the faster health regen and shields is just the gen 2 armor because kelly has it to. Unless it’s a exclusive perk to blue team and then osiris gets something else.
