Maybe Chief will die and join Cortana in the Forerunner afterlife and have a bunch of blue-green babies. But seriously, I hope Chief doesn’t die. If so, I hope they have A LOT of justification for doing it and have just as good of a story to follow after his death.
If chief dies, I hope its in a game fully dedicated to him. Like halo 4 was for cortana. You had the time to come to terms with the fact that she was dying. If chief dies in a game with only 3 missions it would be so rushed that I would rage for a full year

I would do it. But I would never, ever play that mission again nor like Halo 5 at all haha.
It will be disappointing to Halo Fans whether old or new that Chief might be let go of the franchise. I hope 343 is ready for the feedback if it happens.

I love chief, but when the time comes it needs to end.
This is the Reclaimer trilogy, and Chief the the Reclaimer. How are you going to have a Halo 6 if the Reclaimer is dead? Chief is alive and well I assure you. When he does go it will be EPIC. He prb sacrifices himself to save humanity with one last showdown in Halo 6.
