Chief commanding the Marines A tactical campaign

John-117 is a commander as we all know .He is the commander of Blue team and probibly the best Commander of all the Spartans . What if in Halo 4 we had the ability to command Marines or allies .Somthing simaller to Star wars Battlefront where you could Command troops . Somthing like this could work on the D-Pad with 4 basic commands like
Push up and chief says "Attack "Then all marines near you move and attack the nearest enemy .
Push Left and chief says "Follow me"Then all marines follow you .Parts where you are not supposed to have marines with you could still exist if like the Marines sayed "Cant do that sir we must hold this position "
Push down and Chief says "Defend this position "Then all the Marines hold the area you have ordered them to .
Then push right then chief says "Engage at your own disscresion "Then Marines behave like they have in all the other Halo games .
This idea could make Campaign or firfight with marines A lot more tactical

Just a idea I would like to hear your thoughts .

*Commander.
*Command.

Anyway, the idea itself probably has been thought of multiple times. I don’t see this actually working in a halo game.

Nice idea

This could make rescuing marines and not letting them die a lot easier.

I think that’s a good idea and would make a great addition to the game. I don’t know why they wouldn’t add that in, they might as well since the d-pad has no use yet

The Marines in Halo are dumbed-down. Sad. Since Marines are the best grunts Earth has in real-life and in the Halo universe, besides hardcore Marines: ODSTs. A simple way to improve them would be your way of tactics from the D-pad… Good thought.

At this point, I’ve given up on marines. They’ve become atrocious with each Halo game.

Since CE-H2, they have shot in small bursts and have lacked prioritization.
Since H3, they have a looser scripted path when driving vehicles meaning they are as unpredictable as they were in CE.
Since H3, they’ve had melees that don’t do any damage except against infection forms.
Since Reach, they don’t use all the weapons at their proper range.

So yes, commands on d pad would be preferable.

I laugh when warthoggin’ and they drive me off the cliff or rocket a boulder next to us…and we roll off the cliff.

If this was put in the game it would make you fell more like a Commander .

They should resurrect Noble Team, they can look like spartan zombies and Master Chief can be their leader.

Lol the sad, but hilarious truth. I can’t even believe that I used to trust a marine driving me in the Warthog. They drove like -Yoink- Senior citizens. They acted limited when you wanted them to hop in the passenger side or gunner. Herp I can’t hear Master Chief blowing the got damn horn.
