just went back and rewatched halo 4’s ending and it really made me even more mad about halo 5’s campaign since it did not build upon chief’s character development like 4 did 4 definitely had a way better campaign storyline and was a highlight of the 343 games for me on the story side anyway I really hope 343i goes back to halo 4’s story of how it developed chief’s character and really hope they revisit that and do what halo 5 failed to do and further build upon that in halo infinite
I think 5 definitely was a set up for some raw emotions in Halo Infinite. Will Chief kill Cortana? Will he sacrifice himself to try and save her? Who knows. Personally, I think H5 was the game to put all the pieces in place for some awesome stuff to happen in Infinite. Maybe once Infinite releases the Halo cycle (most recently released game gets destroyed and then becomes a classic after the next one releases) will apply to 5 like it did 2. I’m sorry not everyone liked 5 (even though I personally loved it) but I think that with the potential Infinite has sacrificing 5 might have been worth it.

I doubt chief will die any time soon otherwise I agree like I said I hope they build upon his character development from 4
