Has anyone noticed that John’s closest friends are primarily female? (we can say more then just close friends) Cortana , Kelly (087), and Linda (058), heck we can even say Dr. Halsey is more then a close friend, but mother figure. Sure he does have close friends that are male such Sgt. Johnson, and Sam. But when Sam died, Kelly and John pretty much became closer. haha Just a short observation I made.

I wouldn’t call arbiter a close friend. I doubt John would forgive him or his species for burning his “home” and killing billions of humans he tried to save. He may respect the arbiter but that doesn’t make him a close friend.
more of a Warrior Respect, I wouldn’t say Lord was a close friend to Chief. If anything The Keys family was more close to him. again Fred, Kurt not as close more like buddies.

Fred and kurt are like family to him. Every spartan is like a brother or sister to one another.
That is true, but Kelly, and Sam were on a different side of spectrum of family, something closer, and sentimental. Based off my experience with Sports you spend everyday day for 4 years with the team you play, and they become your brothers and family, but you’ll always have the few individuals that closer to you then others.

This is true but I think 27 years of being on the losing side of a genocidal war is a lot different than being on a sports team for 4 years.
Well yeah, I was just explaining the basic feel of having people closer then others. Its like having my sister closer bond with me then I have with my parents, or a family friend that has served in the Marines for years loves his unit, but he told me his bonds with other members are alot stronger then others.
