Chest armor permutations need color options

The fact that chest armor permutations don’t have any meaningful changes applied through coatings is kind of disappointing.

On certain color combos it looks okay (i.e. Scorpion Punch), but it looks a lot more jarring on coatings like Estate Gold, which aren’t primarily black/gray. It’s only going to look even more jarring since we know there are coatings without black undersuits.

This isn’t even ragging on the coating system as a whole – I’m not that pissed over it. I’m just wondering why it doesn’t apply to every armor piece. If nothing else, it’d be great if we could selectively apply coatings to chestpieces (or, for that matter, entire sections of our armor) to make up for the lack of full-on color customization.

We should be able to chose whether the armor permutations are affected by shaders.

I think this is a great idea. Sometimes I like the unpainted look and others I’d like it to look more cohesive.

Exactly

For sure. I like your thoughts on this.

I posted a similar topic of this but got no traction so I’m here to agree with this and the lack of color choices for the armor pieces. Most of them just stand out and look awkward instead of like the rest of your suit and I’d love an option to toggle spray color on or off.
