Whenever I sign in to play Halo 4 everything works, but then my wife wants to hop on and goes to sign in to her live account and the screen sits there saying that the xbox is checking for downloadable content and it sits there for like 20 minutes before I restart the xbox and try again. But if she signs in as my guest. No problems. Any help appreciated
I don’t know if this will help or not, but try doing a license transfer on your account. Maybe then you two will both be able to play the DLC on the same box when she’s on her account.
Try logging in both accounts on both controllers BEFORE loading up Halo 4?
Her profile might be corrupted. Try going to the Xbox dashboard -> System Settings -> storage, delete her gamer profile, and then recover it.

I have the same gaming situation with my Wife sharing the 360, But haven’t discovered this issue, Do you have the game installed? And have you tried clearing the consoles cache?
Sign in both accounts before hitting start up might just work though.
